Inn at Pleasant Lake

Only 2 hours from our home north of Boston, Inn At Pleasant Lake is within easy reach for a special weekend getaway. The inn itself is charming and historic, with beautifully tended gardens abloom with spring flowers. Staff are friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Our room as usual was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed quiet restful nights even though it was Memorial Day weekend. Delicious and plentiful breakfasts crafted from local ingredients kept us going until tea time, elegantly served with cheeses, fruit and freshly baked treats. We were well satisfied with the Flying Goose in town for dinners but plan to try the amazing 5-course dinner at the inn another time. The lake is just across the road, clean and perfect for canoeing or kayaking, and we did some amazing hikes in the surrounding wilderness. We've also stayed in winter and it's perfect for getting an early start at Ragged or Sunapee. No complaints. 5 stars!

This Inn is just the most lovely place to stay in the New London area. This was my second stay and I intend to make this a regular stay for when I am traveling to New London. This place is so comfortable. The hospitality is superb and the rooms are quite comfortable. It is like a home away from home. I would also recommend making reservations for dinner. The food was excellent and the service very friendly. I HIGHLY recommend spoiling yourself and staying at the Inn at Pleasant Lake.

Could not rate more highly. Beautiful hotel. Extremely welcoming hosts and staff. Rooms are of a very high standard. Beds amazingly comfortable. Food sublime. If you get the chance to go don't hesitate.

Great place to stay - highly recommended! We've stayed in four different rooms and each room has its own personality and size, and all have very, very comfortable beds. If you go there then expect to be treated like you are special. Wish we could have enjoyed one of their 3-course or 5-course meals - next time! Personal made-to-order breakfasts with ingredients from local farms were excellent. Afternoon cheese, fruit, pastry and Tea was nice to relax to. Thanks for your amazing hospitality. A group of friends traveled to NH to attend the funeral of another close friend. Our friend's family recommended that we stay at the Inn at Pleasant Lake. The staff were so kind and responsive. The accommodations were very comfortable and the location excellent for traveling to Newport and Sunapee for the days events. The hearty breakfast and afternoon tea included were perfect and the gourmet dinner was a wonderful way to end a very difficult day. Many thanks to the management and staff at the Inn for their thoughtfulness and efficiency in ensuring that we were able to focus on the loss of our dear friend in a beautiful and comfortable setting.
