Innovative Audio Video Showrooms

I purchased a pair of Watt Puppy Speakers from Innovative Audio a few years ago. I moved to CT and lost my some parts and wanted to order a new set of feet for the speakers. I called Wilson, and they said that I would need to order the parts from a dealer. No problem, so I called Innovative Audio to purchase the feet. The sales person whom I spoke with refused to sell me just the parts unless I hired them to to a professional "set up" in my new home. I can't believe that they refused to just sell me the parts. I called another New England dealer, explained my situation, and ordered the parts not problem. Dropped shipped right to me. This is totally consistent with my experience at Innovative audio. Its sad that there are so few high end dealers in NYC. And these guys just want to separate money from clients.

Innovative Audio was great when they were in Brooklyn Heights. Bought a Linn system from them then that I'm still using 30 years later. Sadly, that salesman is gone, replaced by a set of deranged lunatics. Went back to upgrade my outdated Linn system, only to be lectured by a haughty fool on topics that didn't interest me at all. I took my 15 grand elsewhere. Then my Linn turntable broke and I took it in for repairs back to where I bought it - Innovative Audio. Was met at the door by the same lunatic salesman who immediately laid into me for not transporting the table properly (it was inside 2 original boxes). Then he proceeded to instruct me that repairs would cost $1,000 AT LEAST, before a technician even had a chance to examine it. I was flabergasted but left it there in hopes that someone more trained at repairs would give me an expertly estimate. The table stayed there for over a month and at the end - wouldn't you know it - I got a $1,000 estimate to replace the motor, but not with a Linn one, a 3rd party motor. I said "thanks, but no thanks" and took the table elsewhere. Not only was it repaired for under $400, but the motor didn't need replacement. This, despite assurances from Innovative Audio staff that replacing the motor was the only way to proceed as per their Scotish onsite expert, straight from Linn! STAY AWAY!

Innovative is one of the best in the business for both high-end stereo/home theater systems and custom home automation/integration. After shopping around at all the other places, my architectural clients, time after time, always ended up chosing Innovative.

Probably the worst web page I have ever attempted to navigate. To view product line ups via variable manufacturers is a virtual nightmare. Adios
