Story

Interim HealthCare is family owned by Michael and Marlana Hawkins.

Prior to opening the company Michael spent over 20 years as an Air Force officer and Marlana has been a registered nurse since 1996 with extensive experience in oncology, home health and hospice.

We specialize in helping people remain safely at home with customized services that preserve their independence and dignity.

Some of the many reasons a person would use our services include:

Recovery from an illness or injury
Returning home after a stay in the hospital or rehab facility
Learning to manage life with a chronic condition
Adjusting to life following the death of a spouse
Needing assistance with activities of daily living
Respite Care--supporting the family care giver. 'Finding time for myself,' 'managing emotional and physical stress,' and 'balancing work and family responsibilities' were among the top causes of stress and difficulty to those caring for a loved one.

We work closely with the client and family to provide the care they need so they can maintain their independence and stay in the comfort of their home.

We spend a great deal of time and energy ensuring we hire the best caregivers available. We conduct a thorough personality and attitude assessment prior to interviewing prospective caregivers to ensure they are a good fit for the intimate nature of our business. We check professional references, ensure they pass a drug test, and a criminal background check that runs every 24 hours while they are with our company. Upon hire they are trained and continue to train through an extensive library of courses and supervised by a registered nurse. Finally we are licensed, bonded and insured.

As the owners of Interim HealthCare of Salt Lake City, we believe our highest purpose is to take care of the care professionals who take care of our clients. They are naturally driven to care, nurture and serve--by providing an environment where they feel empowered to do their best work, we'll accomplish amazing things.

Products

Personal care and support services--also known as private duty, private pay, non-medical or senior care. We help individuals remain in their homes safely, with independence and dignity.

Our Home care professionals helps with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to include bathing, grooming, dressing, walking, using the restroom, and eating. We also help with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) which includes things such as transportation, meal preparation, light house work, laundry, medication reminders, grocery shopping.

We also have a dedicated team of CNAs, LPNs and RNs who provide medical staffing services to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and memory care facilities, home health and hospice agencies, and medical clinics.
