I could not have gotten through all the paperwork without the help of Meryl Hiler. She told me everything I needed and she did the rest! This was the first time I have had to deal with the state and Medicaid, there is so much to do! Meryl made the whole process go very smooth. I was so please with the help I received from Evan Jackson and Iowa Senior Planning. My husband of 50 years died unexpectedly August of 2017 and my Mothers health declined in July of 2018. Things had calmed down and then the financial issues started and with his help he successfully helped me with the paperwork by phone, email and text. Luann was so helpful! We had lots of questions, and she had the answers — or she knew where to get them. She quickly followed up on our calls and emails. She kept track of where we were in the process, and kept us on task with the information we needed to gather and give her. I could not have applied for a Millers Trust, and applied for Medicaid without Luann. She facilitated Mom moving into a long term facility , and many other things.
