Ippudo 5th Avenue

I think this place has a great atmosphere and provides a new experience to the Ramen eating experience in nyc. Definitely worth visiting at least once if you want to take a friend out to impress. . . Or a first date. I think I saw a few first dates when I was there with friends.

Weekday lunch. Came when they opened so no wait! Cucumbers were refreshing, not super marinated and also not spicy even though they look spicy. The miso ramen with the spiced ball was too spicy for me. I scooped it off and it was fine. Get the Ke dama for extra noodles so worth it. We prefer the think noodles.

First time eating ramen in NYC. It’s pretty good. The staff was beyond friendly and attentive. This is that “one time” kinda place. Its extremely pricey.. $18-$20 for a bowl of ramen and no egg. Not worth it.

This is one of our fave places to get higher-end ramen. Friends were in town with a hankering for ramen and we recommended we go here and they loved it! Usually long waits, even during the pandemic. If you go for a slightly late lunch, eg, you will find it much easier to get in. Totally worth it...
