Truly sad to see what has happened to a once-great company that cared about the drivers. When JB Hunt was alive he himself was an old truck driver and cared about his people and cared about their quality of life. Sadly since he's passed away the company has been handed over to these young college kids with no work experience who's only goal in life is to make a paycheck and basically look to put robots in a truck instead of human beings. The drivers don't mean nothing anymore they are expendable and replaceable. Quality of life is just miserable for a driver with JB Hunt as in corporates mind the driver is the dirt on the bottom of their shoes. Yes it's true anyone can get a job any place else, but at the end of the day JB Hunt is a trucking company and the backbone of this company are the drivers and those young kids in the offices need to pull their heads out of their ass and start realizing that and start showing a little bit of respect for those people that are out here away from their families working their tail to the bone to get the job done so those people back at corporate can have their paycheck. When you lose sight of the real backbone of a company all you basically have is a bunch of stuffy suits sitting around having lunch and collecting a paycheck off the sweat of the people they care nothing about. And a side note to all that, more than half of these drivers out here have college degrees, are retired military and have years of work experience and are far from the low life people that corporate makes them out to be or should I say the way corporate likes to treat the driver.

JB Hunt claims that they are committed to hiring veterans. Like other companies who claim this they are not as committed as they seem. As a veteran with a bachelors degree I applied for over 50 positions with them. I was disregarded and I was sent emails almost immediately saying I didn't get the position. No interview at all! The only position they considered me for didn't require a degree and paid horrible. They didn't care that I was a veteran, saying they support veterans just makes them look good. They are looking for veterans with no degrees to drive truck. Now I have a great job with a company that truly appreciated me from the start and talked with me multiple times. Thank you Walmart Headquarters.
