Sashimi starter is great for the price, so is the hot sake (it's huge!). However, all the sushi rolls were way over done (all saturated with sauce and my Philly roll was literally HALF cream cheese). They also used Styrofoam plates and plastic forks. It really lacked finesse. The prices were pretty good for sushi overall, but I'd rather spend a little more for a better sushi experience.

I haven't been here in a bit but I had previously been very impressed with this establishment and their menu, food choices, wait staff, etc.
I came here today and they drastically changed their menu and while it seemed like the roll options were the same, the results were horrible
- The drinks came out in styrofoam cups with lids and straws.
-Rolls were served on a styrofoam tray on a plastic lunch tray.
- Plastic silverware.
- Plastic to-go bowls for the rice order we made.
- Insides of the rolls fell out when picked up.

The roll of the month is a great touch and the rolls are always delicious. The service is wonderful with a quiet and inviting atmosphere.

J sushi was one of our very FAVORITE places to go. And we're there almost every month--sometimes more frequently. Its our go to restaurant and we even go there if we don't feel like cooking bc everything is delish, fast, fresh and such a great price. We normally get bento boxes and an appetizer.
I was crushed tonight to find out that their menu changed. Excluding sushi, all of our favorites are gone (fried rice, bento boxes, bulgogi beef! 😢) SO so sad!
They also completely cheapened the experience by using everything disposable (including Styrofoam plates to serve the food and plastic forks). Just really a disappointing experience and I will truly miss our favorite things there.

If there was a 2.5 star I would give it to them. But it wasn't quite a 3. I spent almost $100 and got 7 rolls and a chicken teriyaki bowl. Now for the prices of the rolls that include "crab" you would think real crab meat would be used. I despise imitation crab. I love that they have so many rolls to choose from. With what they had to work with I can say they had some good flavors. They use real shrimp at least. But I should have known not to get sushi from a state that doesn't touch the ocean. Lol. Over all, I'm just happy I didn't get food poisoning.
