AMAZING place to escape reality... in a good way! Historic home transformed into a B&B, managed and curated by an amazing couple who go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We had a full schedule of activity outside the Inn, but it was hard to leave the home because it's so peaceful, comfortable, and enchanting. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Monterey!

Located 7 blocks from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Jabberwock Inn provides convenient access to the Cannery Row district of Monterey. The inn is set on a hill, and from the sun porch you can see out across the bay. The inn staff provides excellent service and delicious former breakfasts, as well as well informed recommendations about near-by attractions and restaurants. The Lewis Carroll themed rooms of the Jabberwock complement the sleepy atmosphere of the town.

This place is gorgeous. The grounds are covered in beautiful trees, bushes and vines. The room was very cozy and quiet. My favorite part was the breakfast. We ate a delicious apple croissant and a ham and vegetable quiche served with Jabbawock juice and coffee. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

We just returned for our second stay at the Jabberwock Inn. Such a quaint piece of magic in the beautiful town of Monterey. We got engaged here last year and Rick and Suzanne we're very accommodating. They let my now-fiance decorate The Borogrove suite for the special occasion and even made us reservations at The Sardine Factory down the street where we received two complimentary dishes for our celebration. We missed out on the hor dourves last year, but this year we carved out time for it. Rick prepared some asparagus and quesadillas. We enjoyed a glass of wine with the Inn's owners and some chit chat about some local events in Monterey. The Jabberwock is a fun place to explore with many board games, books, knick-knacks, tea and cookies to discover in every nook and cranny. We stayed in The Borogrove suite again this year and it was just as special. Complete with a fireplace, jacuzzi and grand view of the Bay, it's equal parts cozy and romantic. Rick and Suzanne also prepare a creative breakfast in the morning, which guests can enjoy together. It's a nice opportunity to meet the other guests who come from all over the world. They switch between a sweet and savory menu every day. Last year, we enjoyed a decadent bread pudding with fresh fruit. This year, we devoured an apple pastry and rich cheese souffle. Their Jabber Juice is a real treat too! Although we think the price is quite steep, we'll likely visit the Jabberwock once a year. It's a very, very special place that's sure to warm your heart.
