Jacob's Shoe Repair

I wanted to put a leather bottom sole on my sneaker and make it a dancing shoe that can be danced outside on concrete. I came in Tuesday afternoon and Ari created this beautiful dancing shoe for me. It was ready on Thursday and I love it. I can’t wait to dance in them tonight at Lincoln Center. I will show this shoe to my dance teacher. Thank you Ari. I have photos before and after.

I wore my designer sneakers to the ground but loved them too much to get a new pair. Took them to Jacob’s and they made them look like new. They did an excellent job, I 100% recommend!

Such a cute little shoe repair shop. I went there to get a sole guard for my leather sole. They completed the job seamlessly and helped me to reshape the heel a little to fit the ergonomics better within a day. Highly recommend:

Very rude and inappropriate owner that does not value customers. Received very sloppy work and destroyed shoes. Had to wait 2 months for owner to find shoes. Came back a month after dropping off and he had not started. Suede loafers sent for repair came back scratched and now stain even worse. Heels sent for repair were left with gashes in leather and black marks. I understand not all shoes can be repaired but owner was extremely rude in handling the situation - and should not say they can be completely fixed. Instead of offering any remedy, he rudely yelled at me in front of other customers and yanked the shoes out of the bag screaming saying I would wear them anyway. Do not recommend doing business with mean people.

Ari did an incredible job switching very different soles on a pair of Loro Piana loafers from a sneaker sole to a hard bottom. Beautiful work. No notes.

Needed to put in extra holes in my belt and Ari was so helpful. He was quick and accurate, providing friendly customer service the whole time. I will definitely be back!

This place delivers! Ari is very kind and caring and professional and he is good at what he does. I took a very nice shoes to him that I barely used and it was already worn down and he fixed it for me and made them a lot more durable.

ari is a true shoe genius. i brought him my super beat-up lucchese cowboy boots that were salt-stained, like twenty years old, had worn down heels and toes, and holes in the soles. pretty much as worn as cowboy boots can be lol. i was really anxious about them because they are my beloved lucky boots but i didn’t need to worry because ari made them look BRAND NEW !!! and for a very reasonable price and plus he’s super nice and even gave me an orange. my new shoe guy for sure ! support your local craftsman and save the environment by getting your shoes repaired with ari and you will have the same experience i did thanks so much ari

11/10 experience. As a native New York, I walk hard and often so shoe maintenance is critical and I cannot recommend this place enough. It's welcoming and you can see the craftsmanship. My mom has brought our shoes here many times over the years, always amazing service and prices plus a good laugh. This last time, we dropped off 2 pairs of clogs and look brand new. Google isn't letting me attach images rn but one pair is over 30 years old and now look like they can last another 30. Thank you<3
