Jail Hill Inn

My husband and I have been to over two dozen B&B’s and Inns and this was our absolute favorite! The attention to detail is really just amazing! Matthew is such a great host and we are so impressed with what he has put together! The only thing that was disappointing is that we had to leave. We already cannot wait to come back! The food was beautiful and tasted wonderful! The location, our room, and amenities make this place best in class!

Simply stunning! Matthew has done a superb job with this property. Our room was graciously appointed with both period pieces and edgy accompaniments to create the 'Wow' factor we were looking for. There's a lovely Happy Hour spread available to guests that we took full advantage of, just prior to the short walk to Main St. for dinner. Arriving home later that night, we were greeted by bed linens that were so comfortable, we bought a set on our way out! Now for the best part - the breakfast. Like nothing we'd ever experienced. Period. So....Just. Go. There!

Amazing experience! Matthew is a wonderful host and very attentive to every detail that makes the Jail Hill Inn one of the best places we have stayed. Definitely going back! Thanks to Matthew and family for a great weekend get away experience!

By far, the best experience in Galena! Matthew is an incredible host AND amazing chef. The three course breakfast offerings were home runs. Tasteful remodeling that blends historical and current are evident everywhere. We will definitely be “repeat offenders”!!

Matthew is amazing! We rented the entire Inn with friends of ours and had an amazing time! The rooms are wonderful, the food is spectacular and Matthew is a unbelievable host. Can't wait to go back. Well Done!
