I've been going up for 39 years. I've never stayed there or bought bait, licenses, or ice. My family has rented a boat in years past. Last Sunday my friend and I were up for the weekend on his own boat. His boat broke down at about 4pm on Lindsley Lake. We made it back to the launch in about 40 min on 1000 island. We stopped there for assistance and Becky and her daughter were more helpful than anyone I've met in all the years going. 30 min they helped us get it to where we could drive 6 hours home. ON A SUNDAY AT 5PM!!! Beautiful property! Beautiful cabins! Wonderful owners! ( only original resort owners on the entire Chain ) fantastic staff as well. I will be staying there and nowhere else till my home is built. 5 STAR!!! Thanks for reading this and sharing a bit of a great experience. Health and happiness to you.

The cabin had all we needed to cook and live comfortably for the week. The area was beautiful. Our canoe was free with the cabin. The owners were helpful

My family have been staying in the Thousand Island chain area for 32+ years. We first stayed at family cabins but as we got older we started staying at resorts such as Bents Camp (5 stars) and wilderness Bay (4 stars). We missed out booking a cabin this year with those resorts so my mom set one up with Jay's Resort. The grounds are really nice- there is a small beach area, different types of boats for large or small families and about half a dozen cabins. Our cabin was #3, it was very clean and had a beautiful screened in porch. Three bedrooms, the room with the bunk bed had the only bathroom attached to it, made it kinda odd with 6 people. The resort started to feel uncomfortable when we noticed that the other cabins were filled with potential friends or long time customers, the owners bent over backwards for them but wouldn't get off their butts to help us. For example, my dad was having trouble starting a motor that just had it's fuel changed and wouldn't turn over, the owners sat near by talking to their friends and just watched my dad struggle. Finally, my husband tracked down the owners son after 15-20 of trying the motor. Another time, my sister took the family dog out to the washroom and the residents of cabin another cabin kept yelling at her to "pick up her dogs poop." Even though we always did, then when she was bending over to pick up the poop they started clapping and congratulating her. A bunch of jerks all around. The owners were really only interested in our money and we're rude when arrived all the way to when we left. We will not be going back! Two stars for the decent cabin and how clean it was.

So at first, I gave them more stars and wrote this: "Great little resort, we had a blast there. Fun for kids, great for fishing, reasonably priced boat rentals and beautiful surroundings. Be sure to bring towels, toiletries and toilet paper. Laundry room onsite, as well as a sauna. Plenty of things to do nearby, as well, but we were perfectly content staying at the resort all week. Did our sightseeing by boat or kayaking. The resort owners were great, too, very nice people." ***UPDATE:*** One of resort owners, Becky, called my brother the evening after we left. She demanded a cleaning fee, because the place was a mess. Took them 2 whole hours to clean a 3 story cabin. I was among the last to leave, and know what the place looked like. All dishes were done, kitchen was cleaned up and swept. The way Becky put it, one would think we'd staged a food fight in there on the final morning. We left a few unopened packaged food items, and some produce on the kitchen table, as they wouldn't fit in the car. And, I forgot to dispose of a carton of eggs and some opened milk that was left in the fridge....as well as a six pack of beer. In any case, now I have a bad taste in my mouth. Seems like a money grabbing ploy to me. Luckily there are many other places to stay on the Cisco Chain, because we loved the area.

These people only care about getting your Money. Everytime you ask for something they act like it's a HUGE inconvenience. They are in a bug hurry to get your Deposit and in even a BIGGER hurry to get you to LEAVE!! I wouldn't stay at this place again if it was FREE!!! -0 STARS!!!
