I'm going to talk about the campground, then I'll talk to why this is my new favorite place. We stayed there for a weekend this July. The camp staff was friendly, as were the campers. They are on the move quite a bit, so if they're not in the office they're working out around the sites (they have a golf cart, not hard to find if you need them). It was very quiet in the evenings, which we appreciated. It has cabins, tent sites and RV sites. The camp has several amenities, including ice for sale by the bag (cheaper than we got it at the party store up the road), and firewood by the bundle (which was also comparable). There's a playground next to the bathroom/shower facility, which has regular men's and women's bathrooms, as well as individual shower rooms and handicap facilities. There's also a footpath, though we didn't use it.
What I really appreciate about this place is the people. After checking out, we drove home (a few hours) and realized that one of our party had lost her wallet. I called and left a message at the camp, and they called back within the hour to tell me that they had the wallet. They mailed it to us the next day, credit cards and cash still intact! What a relief. Didn't even ask to be reimbursed for shipping. Really great people. We'll be staying there again!

Contacting the campground and their staff is near impossible. I tried calling numerous times and only got an answering machine. When I left a message, it look 2-3 days to get a call back. I tried sending an email, and basically got a response back (a day or two later) that said I needed to call the office. Very frustrating. Even when we arrived at the campsite, no one was in the office. Luckily I knew what sites were reserved for us, so we were able to park and start unpacking while I tracked down a ranger to check in. It was also difficult to track someone down to purchase ice (thankfully the firewood was available on the honor system), and I was not able to take advantage of the new Wi-Fi because I was not able to ask anyone for the log in credentials to be able to access it.
The sites themselves were not what I envisioned. There is no division, aside from a post along the road to mark the boundary. Most of the view was obstructed by camper after camper after camper, but when you boast "Towering hardwood trees nestle around 56 campsites," I expected more than a fully open area backed up to woods. The bath house was decently maintained, although I was expecting more than 3 stalls in the bathroom and 3 showers for an entire campground.
Granted, I'm by no means a die-hard camper, so maybe I was asking too much, but I wasn't too impressed with this place.
