Staff was quick and delightful, very active and accommodating. Food was okay and reasonably priced, I would recommend as a lunch restaurant for sure! Salad dressing is a little light viscosity wise and in general, the food is light and cooked very good. Good if your looking for a meal on the lighter side. Would visit again!
Me and my friend came here, and the food was worth the 70-mile drive by far. We came to explore altoona and were not disappointed. The meal was great, but the real gem was our server Jamie, who made the entire meal worth it. The service and conversation made the food better!!!!The bread was amazing to start. The rib fingers are fantastic. The soup had great flavor and texture. I had the ribs and shrimp with both types of fries, and i am not dissappinted in the least. The sauce is perfect and cooked to perfection. My friend had the pasta platter, and it was divine. i can not recommend enough
Was looking for a local favorite and found it.Great beers on tap. Had a steak salad and my client had a chicken/pasta dish that was amazing.Great dining experience. Our server Ed gets an A+
Service was the best. Edward was an awesome waiter. Food was amazing. Highly recommended!!!Food: 5/5
We went on a recommendation and weren’t impressed. Overall kind of a dingy look and feel to the place. The front and back of the house both need a tune up. The zucchini planks were the best part of our visit. The concept of Jethro’s being a fun place to go is a great one, but the kitchen, servers, host, and management need to breathe new life and freshness into the restaurant. It’s been a struggle for the entire restaurant industry coming back from a couple years of a worldwide pandemic. But spring is coming and it’s time for a renewal of the spirit of this restaurant.
Great food great price. Great Service.Food: 5/5
Should have known from the unfriendliness of the hostest and walked out but we let her seat us. I was expecting a nice restaurant for a steak and rib house but we were seated on an enclosed patio at a picnic table with terrible seats to go with it. The menu was equally unimpressive with the choices. A 6 oz steak is very underwhelming, where's a real steak on the menu? The lady who sat us, sat another table a few minutes later and was taking their drink orders, so we had enough and left. I would never eat there!
Food was just OK at best, very bland tasting . The steaks did not taste very good and the soup was pretty much spinach water. I would not try this place again, I would rather just go to a chain restaurant before spending my money here again.Food: 3/5
Stayed in Altoona for a night before heading to State College for a football game and decided to check this place out because it was close to our hotel. man, it did not disappoint! The unlimited spaghetti was a great deal, nobody I was with ordered it but I got a side of spaghetti which was delicious. My entree of baby back ribs was great, the meat came right off the bone! Our server was incredibly friendly and hospitable, I wish I could remember his name to give him a shoutout in this review. Vibes were great too. Overall an incredible experience and if I am ever back in Altoona I will be sure to visit again. 10/10
Very disappointed - and was disappointed last visit as well - but thought perhaps that the last time was just a "fluke", but def will not be back again. Got Cheesesteak sandwich and the roll was SOGGY and the lettuce was wilted but worse was the tomatoes were so mushy - I would have never served them on anything to a customer. I don't understand----------- the cook sees what is being placed on the sandwich???!!!..................last time for us.
