COUNSELING IN THE SCHOOLS
JFSA provides free counseling in Jewish day schools working with students, teachers and parents to address emotional, mental and behavioral issues that impede the students’ academic process.
TZEDAKAH EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
Provides modest financial assistance with rent or utility bills for Jewish individuals confronting a temporary financial crisis.
HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR ASSISTANCE
• Work closely with local survivors
• Filing material claims
• Private counseling for those struggling with emotional difficulties
• Financial assistance when necessary
FOOD PANTRY
Provides nutritious food and toiletries to more than 22,000 people each year, including the elderly, families, and homeless, many of whom might otherwise go hungry.
In support of this vital outreach, we invite you to make a financial gift or donate toiletries and/or non-perishable food items that have not reached their expiration date.
CHESSED FUND
Ensures proper Jewish burials for indigent families in need of assistance.
ADOPTION
• Offers quality adoption services for individuals, couples, and families – regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation.
• Provides ongoing post-adoption support services for birth mothers.
PROJECT EZRA
Provides solutions in response to the catastrophic impact of the current unemployment crisis.
Assists clients seeking employment with:
• Resume creation and fine tuning
• Networking and Interview skills
• Obtaining interview attire
• Ongoing training workshops
HOLOCAUST RESOURCE CENTER
Houses a library of materials pertaining to the Holocaust and works in conjunction with schools and other organizations to provide Holocaust education outreach.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Our dedicated volunteers give their time, energy, and experience in assisting our community’s most vulnerable.
Volunteer assistance includes:
• Food Pantry
• Mitzvah Projects
• Visits and telephone calls with seniors
• Bikur Cholim (hospital visits)
• Shopper/Transportation for Seniors
