I am extremely disappointed with this moving company. They were the most expensive quote I got, but I went with them because they seemed the most professional and I was entrusting them with the contents of my home. The movers were hard working and helpful. However, four items did not make the final destination. One item cannot be replaced for sentimental reasons. I paid over $11,000.00 and trusted this company with my belongings. Very, very disappointed that for that amount of money some of my things got 'lost'. A suggestion to anyone moving is to take your own inventory before it gets on the truck.

They did a great job for me. They called twice in the week prior to the job to confirm the appointment, and they arrived as planned. The movers were courteous and hard working. They even did a couple of extra things that weren't planned on. I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

I was employed by Mahon for 5 months. I would have to say that for most of the time I was employed here it was fine. However, there were times where it could get unbearable. They have people who work here that are drug abusers and law breakers. I was put on a moving job with someone who was violent enough that I was assaulted( punched in the jaw) because this person was not on his medication. When I informed my supervisor about this I was told to "suck it up and had been put on another job with him the following week. I quit that day and it worked out because I found a better paying job 3 days later. DO NOT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE! It is a very poorly run company.

My mother called this early am. Made an appt for the movers to transport extremely heavy armoire. It was no go. They were whining about 7 steps into my home. That was their question. And the armoire bases were not come apart. They refused to pry it open with tools. Ok. It was out of questions. My friend helped me and dawn the person who works at Jim mahon was horrible and nasty to her. Then my friend was angry and snapped t down. Finally they both calmed down then dawn started blaming on movers. I don't see how it is their faults. Yes they are whiners and sissies. So everyone went home. I came back again later in the evening and brought my own tools. It took no more than 2 minutes to separate the bases. I was done and it is ready to go. Now I came home and come to find out dawn called my mom and harassed her about today situation. My mother told her she was not there and will not be put in the middle of something that she has no idea what was going on. Now it was totally unprofessional of dawn to be nasty or horrible to their employees and to customers. I would have paid $350+ for one large armoire to be transported to my home from previous home. Shame on them and they lost my business. After that phone call. I am done. Shame on them in first place to be whiners and sissies. That is their job. If u can't so it don't come to work and do not treat any customer poorly who h u did dawn. Shame in u mostly. Thank u for your ugly customer service. U get no stars. Really. I will never recommend u. Ever.

This is no longer a local moving company, they were bought out by The Padded Wagon,inc Moving company from the Bronx. Poor reviews. check them online! They came over 2 hours late, the driver called at 9am for directions from the Bronx, we live in Sussex county NJ. Mahon never called us to tell us they were coming late, when I called they said their truck broke down and they were using the company that bought them out, which they never told us about. Were only moving to a local storage shed. They had 3 men, came in to house said they needed another person, My wife and I threw them out. They were adding adder's onto the contract even before they started. Now our move is being delayed by a day, we were lucky to contact our second choice LOCAL mover who will be able to handle us a day later
