Great atmosphere inside. The staff was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and chips. The sandwich was one of the best I've had. The meat was very tender and the bun was very soft and fresh. The chips seemed like standard Lays so no trouble there. The mac wasn't good. It tastes like macaroni in a very watery slightly cheesy sauce. Aside from that, the food was fantastic. Definitely coming back, just skipping the mac and cheese.
Absolutely love the pulled pork sandwich. The pork is moist, the sauce doesn't over power the meat, and the slaw has just the right amount of crunch. Feel the fries could use some flavor that's not just hot potato. Now on to my favorite,dessert... I am in love with the pecan pie! Like let me know when pecan pie day is because I'm buying every slice. Highly recommend this place.
Ate there today. Wasn't overly impressed with portions or quality. Doubt I'd go back. Fries were undercooked and green beans, despite evidence of pork, were not overly flavorful. Good option if you're on Taylor Blvd, where options are slim and none but, not a destination spot
Small place but I liked the pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, and baked beans that I got. Others in my group got the chicken and enjoyed it. Friendly staff, good portion sizes and low prices means I will be returning.
The staff was friendly. The frozen lemonade was very good. The fries were hot and fresh. However, they could stand to put a tad bit more salt on them and the meat I found was tender yet on the dry side.
Jimbo's was a surprise to me how good the quality is! It is not fast food--you do wait a bit for your order, but it's worth the wait. Portions on the pulled pork sandwich are very big and the french fries are served hot and fresh!
Slaw is nothing like it should be. To sweet and just not right on the money. Tatter salad is alright but needs help. Meat seams to be from a box maybe a cooker but looks processed. Sauce is not so good with the food. Spicy ketchup at it's best.
Service can sometimes be slow, but the food is priced Right and acceptable. Not a big dining room, and when they get busy, it can be claustrophobic, but if you go during off hours, there is no problem. Wish they had a spicier sauce to add to the BBQ sandwiches, sorry, I like a bit of a bite.
We've been coming to Jimbo's for over 9 years and have never once been disappointed. They seen our family grow from the two us to now 5. When our newest edition arrives, he will be the 6th person in our family to join the table at one of our very favorite restaurant. Amazing food and I drive over 30mins just to order the fried green tomatoes. This is more than just a great restaurant, this is OUR restaurant and is a part of our family.
We LOVE Jimbo's! We've been going here for years for delicious food, and great service! We used to live 2 blocks away and would walk down for lunch or dinner, now we live 25 minutes away, but we still make the drive to eat here. It's worth it!
