John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge

This bridge is gorgeous. I love it close up, I love it far away, every inch of it is interesting to look at. The sound the cars make as they drive on it is so interesting. Walking across it... feels special. It's almost like an event. Every time I come to Cincinnati, I will spend time here. On it, under it, around it...never taking it for granted.

I absolutely love this bridge & can remember going acrossed it as a child. Last week was the first time I was able to share my memory of the (singing bridge) with my children. For over 30 year's that's what we always called it because the humming sound it made while driving over it. Unfortunately, we walked & no one was able tho drive over due to "The Flying 🐖 race". But, it was still fun to walk across with my children. Definitely a part of history & I got to pass it on.

Beautiful bridge. Reminded me of Brooklyn Bridge. Fun to walk over. Sad it was closed when I visited, couldn't walk fully over. It's a very popular place for photography and photographs.

This suspension bridge in Cincinnati was stunning! I'm terrified of heights but the climb up to see the boats going by was worth it (just don't look down!) :-) The area around the bridge on the Ohio side is full of beautiful landscaping, gardens, swings, a playground, and fun activities for all ages (like a giant in-ground piano and exercise path). The architecture of the bridge is absolutely beautiful. Don't miss it!

That looks a lot like the Brooklyn Bridge! No, the Brooklyn Bridge looks a lot like the Roebling Bridge! I happened to visit when the bridge was under construction and was shut down so I could take this picture. It's not too often you can do that on an iconic bridge without getting ran over by a car. Wish I could have walked over it or bike over it like I was planning to do that weekend but I'll take it.
