This is a very long covered bridge on the Kokosing Gap rails to trails multi use trail. The trail bed itself is mixed crushed stone and dirt. This area is inhabited by many in the Amish Mennonite community, so, the trail is utilized regularly by horses, horse drawn carriages, buckboards, carts, bicycles, etc. The bridge has a padding in place to accommodate this traffic as well as a high side so the horses can't see that they are over water and freak out. There is a parking lot and a small picnic shelter near the bridge. The road up is a bit washed out, but, easily passable. The trail can be traversed for many miles of one so desires. We find the trail to be moderately wheelchair friendly. The river underneath is frequented by canoes, kayaks, and swimmers.
