Overall, there is some kinder students that attend here, and the teachers are balanced between nice and mean. But the school handles mental health absolutely terribly. If a kid is not going to school, they should understand simply telling them to come or they will fail the year simply won't help. When I transferred here, the school was an A rated school so I thought it would be better; but no. They don't discuss mental health, it's as if they're trying to avoid it. I won't give any information, but I know some students who go here who even result in cutting themselves. Watch, once someone actually has the guts to kill themselves, the school will be discussjbg about it more to keep their "reputation".

I find it unfortunate that some people have such a negative view of this school. Kennedy worked wonders for me and the school got me on track to preparing a better future for myself. I believe I got to where I am today largely with the help of my middle school experience. They genuinely care. Genuinely. I had my moments, as most adolescents/teenagers do, and Kennedy Middle School really assisted in shaping me into a better person/student, and I believe this case is the same for many other students that have crossed paths with the school. For the comments reality to drugs... Kennedy has nothing to do with it. It's the students themselves and whatever they've gotten themselves into. You cannot blame the school for district designated students who have got wrapped up in bad behavior. These kinds of situations will cross paths in any school your student goes to, whether it's middle school or high school, and it's not unique to Kennedy. Aside from that, I believe they provided a pretty stellar education with excellent teachers, and I hope more can give them credit as time progresses. I attended 3 middle schools, one of which being Edgewood, and if I had to choose one, I would always choose Kennedy, with no doubt about it.

The students have no respect for adults fighting and cursing the school doesn't care that less that 50 fr the school the kids fight and the officer on duty does nothing I thought the reasource officer was to help the kids and protect them if school is out then the officer and the school should be paying attention not letting the kids go crazy I'd never let my child go there.

My daughter had been here not even a full school year, and we've noticed a severe drop in attitude towards adults and children alike. Her behavior has become appalling torwards her entire family and friends.
She's had multiple physical threats by fellow classmates, she's been offered drugs, and been attacked.
The way the faculty and staff have been (not) handling any of these concerns is horrifying, and speaks volumes for the school itself. Look past the idiotic adolescent 5 star reviews posted all over this page, and heed the caution of actual parents. My daughter has picked up a delinquent attitude, and nothing is being done about it at this school where youths run wild, rampant, and undisciplined.
