Jose Pepper's

My experience was good Mexican food. I had the shredded beef taco, which is pan fried and not a prefab taco shell. Also with my dish I had a pork tamale and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. I do not like the cilantro rice. The salsa and chips are very very good, some of the best salsa I've tasted yet in Kansas. My server was DIA and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very punctual with any of our needs.

Waitress took order. She got husband's drink order wrong so bar staff had to fix new drink, we had to ask for flatware and napkins, she never did order espinaca dip, she brought us extra pan of chips then later came back to get them and took them to another table even though we had taken chips out of the pan. She disappeared at one point. Never asked about re-fills. Brought check and hovered waiting for us to pay her. Came to table at one point and said "I don't want to keep you" - meaning give me my money! She was lucky I left even a reduced tip. I noticed staff in prep area were eating while preparing food, wiping nose and went back to prepping. I felt uncomfortable even eating there!

I generally like this place and the wait staff is good. My only complaint is they can be heavy on the cilantro. For those of us that don't like cilantro, it's really disappointing. I wish cilantro was served on the side. That way, you wouldn't ruin the salsa. Think about it. Please. Cilantro is the devil.

Dani was our server and she was awesome! This is the second time she’s served us and she does an amazing job at making us feel welcome. The service and food was definitely A+ quality😊

Had a really great time with my family, food was absolutely delicious and service was great!! Cynthia was our server and she was absolutely incredible, she was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Cynthia helped us with anything that we needed and was very attentive. Jose Pepper's is really lucky to have her and the rest of the team.
