Had a private tour with my family of 10! Very accommodating and absolutely worth the money. A lot of other tours going at the same time and we were able to come and go as we needed. Loved our tour guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Nice intro for a first time visitor. I brought too many snacks I didn't need they had plenty and cold drinks. Highly recommend the snorkeling tour. Bring water shoes!
Our experience was pretty cool. You don’t get to go on the diamond head and most of the places you just drive next to them. The lunches were definitely not worth it. Tiny portions and over priced. Our tour guide was awesome! Learned so much history and fun facts.
Tour was really good except one stop that really left a bad taste in our mouth literally! Please do not buy food at the Macadamia Nut Farm. Trust me I’m saving your money and tastebuds. It was terrible and not cheap at 20 dollars a plate plus tax. Meat is old, unseasoned, and bland along with everything else that comes with it. Bring your own food or buy something from the vendors you’ll stop by before. Other than that a really fun trip!
The drivers must get a cut from sales made along the tour because nearly the whole thing was just stops at little places to shop or eat. We weren't actually able to tour the Dole Plantation, the macadamia nut farm, or the coffee plantation; we were only given enough time to shop there. Most stops were only 10 minutes. The snorkeling with sea turtles is very DIY--you're given equipment and no other guidance. Barely saw Pearl Harbor as we passed by it and did not stop for Diamond Head at all. Extremely misleading.
What an absolute waste of money and an entire day!!! SO misrepresented in the advertising. You only get to step onto one beach and that's where the turtles are and the water is so dirty you can only see 2metres. The turtles are not on the beach. We had to pre order lunch 2 hours away with 6 choices 2 salads $38. RIPPED OFF.Most of the stops are at shopping shack's the tour guide had the personality of a wet blanket with no interaction with the tour group. A VERY bumpy bus with poor air conditioning. Avoid this tour. Sandy Beach, Sunset beach drive straight them. The blowhole. What blowhole. Looked at it for 10minutes and saw one small puff of spray that if you blinked you missed it. You DO NOT go to the top of Diamond head as the advertising states! Been on 100's of tours around the world this one is pathetic!! AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Milo was a fantastic guide. We booked the night before the tour and wish we had done this on our first day. The history that was shared was amazing and made us want to know more about the islands. The beach time and snorkeling was great. We were lucky to swim alongside a sea turtle. The food was great, but I do recommend bringing at least $75-$100 or more for a couple in cash due to the stops, shops, and food on the tour. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone. Will definitely book again!
The WORST tour we have ever been on!!! Our tour guide who wanted us to call him Papa P certainly had his own agenda. He ranted and also thought he could sing, guess we were his captive audience. He carried on about himself and his family. Even passed around family pictures and graveside photos! He slammed Mormons, the police and anyone else he didn't like. We did NOT get to have lunch at the shrimp trucks. He said he did not like Giovannis. It was certainly all about him. Save your money!!! Wish I could give zero stars
This tour took us around the island and we were told about a lot of the places but didn’t stop at all of them. The bus did not have wifi and there were a couple charging cords at the front that could be used by all. Was a shorter tour bus, not very comfortable and no washroom but plenty of bathroom stops. The description says snorkel with turtles at turtle island but we were taken to a very wavey spot with no turtles or fish and we did a drive by of turtle island and didn’t even stop to take pics of them. We got a lot of information from our tour guide but the stops were more for souvenir shopping instead of sightseeing. You don’t get time to do any tour at Dole Plantation just enough time to buy souvenirs. The coffee plantation was a small store with not too many coffee trees so was just a tourist trap again. Maybe I assume I would be touring the coffee plantation and Dole to see how they pick and pkg things but this is not the case. I would not recommend
Great experience on this trip! Jason the tour guide is very knowledgeable about the island & culture and explains everything that you are seeing. Neil drove the bus. He was entertaining as well. I highly recommend this tour.
