I didn't really realize I was in Kabayan until I had to ask the cashier as I had to inform a friend on my whereabouts on the phone when I was here. It's a pleasant, nice experience. Food was OK, admittedly. Be warned, most choices look and taste greasy. But they're all good, mind you. And you can't probably eat such foods almost every day of your life, or you'll die soon for eating very rich foods, every day. But they're not presented as grand looking like some other Asian meals. Don't compare them, as you probably don't know much, anyway. But first, you got to try foods here, and enjoy them. I always do. I know they're done with love, warmth, care, which you get a sense of if you get to eat here one of these days. It gives you ideas of how things are back in the mother country.

I like the combo, which for this time, I had dinuguan and the adobo gizzard. I also ordered a whole deep fried tilapia. Plus plain cold bottle of water. And a small cup of hot pork broth. You just point to items you choose among the displayed containers and pay at the cashier. It's not hard science. And you notice these foods can't be bad as others there eat them too. If you're too particular, come some other time then. Non fussy way of enjoying your meal while you see fast moving images on TV on the current program most probably being seen somewhere else in the Philippines, too. Also you see other compatriots who don't want to be bothered plus their non Filipino companions coming and going. Good way of spending time and small amount of money for lunch.

Food is okay but the smaller portion I ever had. I thought US serve bigger portion. Not value for money either.
