This small cafe packs a big punch. If you love fancy hot chocolate but can’t finish a giant one on your own, Katherine Anne’s offers a smaller flight perfect for splitting. I had the turkey sandwich with cranberry chutney and it was so good. Obviously everything is fresh and the people who make it enjoy what they do. Skip the hype of Mindy’s and go to Katherine Anne’s for something a little more local feeling. Plus you can buy the hot chocolate mixes to take home or gift. I love this place.

I've picked up Valentine's Day boxes every year here; where else would one go after finding chocolate Nirvana? Their lemon poppy seed, goat cheese and walnut truffles are simply fantastic. The caramels are just as good; the balance between texture and taste is unrivaled in Chicago.Treat yourselves folks; take an epicurean Willy Wonkaesque trip down to Armitage and let your taste buds open your minds!

Katherine Anne is a gem in the Logan Square neighborhood. They have a wide variety of interesting flavors of chocolate truffle, home made marshmallows with interesting flavors added in, and their drinking chocolate is amazing. A word to the wise, get a small drinking chocolate and share it with a friend. It's so absurdly sweet and rich you probably won't finish it by yourself! It's delicious, but it's for sipping, not gulping! They also have an interesting selection of sandwiches etc for lunch, which are unfortunately not my cup of tea based on reading the menu, but that's because I am sort of a weird simpleton when it comes to sandwiches. They look like they'd be appealing to most!

The hot chocolate is out if this world. So many options to custimize your drink. Nice little sitting area to relax and enjoy your treats as well as get a bit of work done.

Holy Hot Chocolate! This place is an absolute delight for the senses!!! Fine chocolates, marshmallows, and treats crafted with love and there for the taking. Do yourself a favor and plan to spend a solid hour or so there. Enjoy some sort of chocolate and coffee potion, nibble on some truffles, and agonize over what you'll be taking home with you. Two of everything? Great! They'll put a bow on it for you.
