Kathy's Alterations & Tailoring

Kathy is an amazing seamstress. I have to get alot of pieces hemmed and reworked.

Ordered a coat online knowing it would require alterations. Found KATHY through a google search. Her store is neat clean easy to find. KATHY was kind considerate and very honest. She was reluctant to do the alteration at first wanting to preserve to quality and style of the garment. Wow who is that honest in business? I was able to convince her to do the alteration a little differently than she had imagined and cannot wait to get my coat back. Thanks KATHY.

Kathy is wonderful. She was shortstaffed and was still able to shorten up the sleeves on a new suit jacket under a serious time constraint. Prices on alterations seem very reasonable. I will be taking all my suits in for alterations soon.

I believe this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. About a week ago I called Kathy's Alterations to set up an appointment for a wedding dress alteration. I was immediately told that she does not take appointments and that I just need to walk in for an alteration. When I tried to ask further questions about services, I was hurriedly told that I just need to come in, no appointment. The following Saturday I attempted to come in at around 1pm, but the store was closed, even though the Saturday hours listed on the door said 10am-4pm. So, I take off a few hours of work the following Wednesday to come in around noon. When I told Kathy that I would like an alteration on a wedding dress, she immediately tells me that she does not do wedding dresses. Now, my wedding dress is a simple white dress that I bought online, something someone would wear on a casual night out. When I tried to tell her this, she would not even look at it, just kept saying that she does not do wedding dresses since they take too long. If Kathy had originally let me ask about her services on the phone, I would not have wasted so much time trying to come in only to be rejected. Would not recommend this place solely on this terrible experience.

Took jeans to get bottom down and will take around a week to be ready she charge $20 minimum. I'll update my review "Update: she did a great job, took me around 2 weeks to go pick my jeans but they turn out great :)" Would be great if it took Less time
