Had to wait 10min in the restaurant, being the only one sitting there to find out that my order was never called to be made in the first place. Just ordered one simple sandwich had to wait 20 min, total waste of time. Used to go there daily because of great service, but the service is starting to lax greatly. Never going back again.
The first photo with the comfy plush love seats and greenery background is a fake photo. I came here because of the photo. Only later did I realize that the other photo with the wooden chairs and tables are the real ones. It's dead here right now. I'm only one here. Depressing Lemon and honey tea was good.
Kato Cafe is a welcome addition to the growing commercial corridor around Farrington Street and 35th Avenue in North Flushing. You can get coffee and a variety of crepes, sandwiches, and snacks here. The coffee was bitter and gave off a hint of turpentine. The food is much better. The ham crepe I ate was tasty, but not the best I've ever had. This is a good place to meet for breakfast, especially if you're staying at the nearby Marco Hotel as there's not much else in the area. The free Wifi helps.
Nice place, the scenery and ambience is comfortable for a snack/sitting while drinking tea. Across the street from my local church I grew up at.
