Kent County Child Support

Ive been waiting on a call from a supervisor/case manager for 2 weeks when i was told it would be 2-3 business days. They hire rude people, and even their best customer focused people are incompetent. How you going to not let the person talk at all and then put them on hold only to tell them lies? This is Kent county FOC at its finest! Even the court people are crooks. My wife has worked at the court many times as a guest and she knows what goes on behind the scenes. 100% biased staff to say the least. Wish this could be fixed, but it just keeps getting worse!

I heard two women and a man speaking at a bar. One of the two women was married and having an affair with the other women. The man asked if you two are in love why doesn't the women leave her husband so you don't have to hide it? My initial reaction was that the husband was violent and maybe she feared to leave him. But i heard the man ask if the husband was a bad person and the women having affair said, no, i just dont love him. Then the other women said, I have a decent attorney and we are going to wait until she gets pregnant then she will leave him and divorce him and force the ex-husband to pay for the child through the Court. It's really tragic what this system can inspire those who abuse it and get away with it. There has to be a better way.

Wish zero stars were an option. Having wrongfully been taking child support for the past 3 months despite opting out of their "services" altogether. They do not follow legal documents and take money they are not supposed to because that is how they earn a paycheck. Staff is incompetence and rude. Whether by phone or email you will always get a different answer and then no follow up to solve the problem. Since they don't follow legal documents, it would seem they are able to just continue to try to ruin amicable divorces by making their own rules. An absolute dumpster fire.

If you are a guy forget it. They are racist and biased and brush off evidence. Hope one day these evaluators go through a race diversity class because not everyone is white and you cannot base your judgments on race.

After having my child for a year and supposed to be done paying support I still get messages telling me I need to pay. I have received full custody and my taxes were taken to cover anything I owed. When I call to find out why I magically owe money again for a child I have full legal and physical custody of, the excuse is about a fee added in January. So how do you take my tax money and not cover that in the first place? Also curious how a fee is even added when I had my child through this time period? So when I want an answer I get the same line constantly and hung up on when I say I need a transfer to the case worker. I have had nothing but issues from kent county and I am curious if they are ever going to stop treating all fathers like trash. Especially given the fact I have custody in the first place.

Got referred to the FOC 4 times by a judge while my daughter was in a shelter with mom. 15,000 in attorney fees later and 5,000 in support i finally got my daughter. I got custody then the FOC still made me pay the mom child support of 350 a month. After the foc worker wrote a fraudulent report. This went on for 2 years. Finally after I was going to sue the whole FOC office they finally dropped support. This should not be allowed and should never happen to anyone. Men should not have to fight this hard for there kids our system is broken.

I am accused of things by someone who makes false police reports and is accused of several things that has to do with finances in a negative way. The FOC seems to believe what they say and won't talk to me or return phone calls to clarify the things I am being falsely accused of. I am extremely bummed that FOC goes on what non creditable people say verses those who have facts. I pray I am given the opportunity to clarify what is going on. I have been held back from the schedule from the judges order by the same person and they don't get any repercussions from not letting me have the happiness of the judges agreement. It seems the other person is in 1000000 percent control of the judge. I have been seeing a counselor because of all of this and she is unable to make progress also with FOC. I am very bummed with all those within the system that tell me how broken the system is. Your the ones who can make a difference. I pray things change and I am able to follow the judges orders and those who don't obey will face consequences. But after the past 3 years I am not sure what will change at this point in time. I have done more then all I can. Now it is on the system and I pray that someone sees this and is willing to put forth the effort to make the difference I am told I will recieve. I am heart broken by the fact that someone could be treated how I have been. No one should ever have to do this for so long. It isn't healthy at all.

If you could give negative stars that would be what I would give. These people don't give a crap if you receive your child support or not. They get their pay check, that's all that matters to them. My daughter is 21 and her biological father hasn't seen her since she was 2 and is over 23,000 behind in child support. I have written letters with no response, I have called and get to talk to the receptionist most of the time. I have no idea who my caseworker is and haven't for many years. If I'm lucky enough to get connected to a worker, it's their voicemail and I never get a call back. A few years ago, the friend of the court made contact with the city he lives in and had a bench warrant put out for him for 200.00 They suspend and reinstate his drivers license like its no big deal and have not followed through on any criminal charges. I have reached out to the Prosecuting attorney in Grand Rapids and I get told you have to file a complaint with Friend of the Court. They don't get off their A** and collect now, what makes the prosecutor think they will take a complaint seriously??

Incompetence of diversity hires.. They're also power hungry. They can't just do their jobs they expect you to do it for them. They misandry in the foc is sickening.

They are always in favor of the mother. I gained custody of my children and my ex was almost a year behind in child support and they never went after her and I never received my ex's tax returns.my ex was behind over $5000 and all the sudden friend of the court deleted the balance. Magic how that happens. If I am behind one payment they go after me like I'm a major criminal.
