Kiki's Japanese Casual Dining

We have been to Kiki's many times and the food has always been great, but the service is always lacking. It was obvious this last time that our wait person either did not know what his job as a wait person entailed, or he was just that bad. When we walked in, we were not acknowledge, instead, we had to go up and ask if there was any way we could put our name on a list. Once seated, we waited at least 15 minutes before anyone came and talked to us. Even though at least 3 waitstaff walked by over a dozen times. After taking our order, we had asked for water, which we had to ask for again because he forgot. Once the check came, we waited for a long time for him to return to take the payment. Finally, we just went up to the front desk and cashed out with someone else. I will give it to them that the place was packed that night, but it's not a big place to begin with. Two competent waitstaff can easily run that whole front of house. The place just needs some more competent waitstaff and it would be perfect.

Is it authentic? Not really. Is it delicious? Not really. Is it worth the trip? Not really. It is inexpensive. It is fairly quick. It isn't clean, and it isn't even really all that sanitary (watched their sushi chef coughing and sneezing at will over the sushi deck). Eat here at your own risk.

Been here many times now and the food quality and has been inconsistent everytime. The hours of operation are inconsistent as well, online says the restaurant is open and you arrive and they aren't open!

Fun little Japanese restaurant. The dishes seemed great and authentic. I liked the curry and the sukiyaki a lot. I thought the salmon bowl special was just ok, but if you really like raw salmon, then it'd probably be for you. The house soup and salad was good too. Make sure you load up on those pickled things by the salad. I will certainly be back and totally recommend this place.

I had the katsudon and it was good I didn't have time to really ask the server for anything but the meal itself. Very busy and small but the food was good and authentic. I liked it a lot a bit cozy atmosphere. Seems like a fun place to drink a variety of Japanese liquor.
