King Buffet

Have been to this place a couple times since moving to Kansas from Illinois 6 months ago. This is the best Asian food I have had so far! They have such a wide variety to choose from. The food is always fresh and the restaurant is clean. The two highlights that keep me coming back: Hibachi bar and fresh sushi!! Also the price for the buffet is very reasonable during lunch hours.

See update One of the better Chinese buffets we've had in the area. Food temperatures can be hit or miss. Sometimes, some of the food on the buffet is cold. Most times it is just fine. The grilled/baked chicken thighs are excellent. Always get a couple when I go. Good variety and staff is friendly enough. Always busy. UPDATE: Changed rating to 1 star due to our last few visits. Staff treatment of customers has changed. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Hey, these people have sushi, and pretty good sushi at that. The rest of the food is certainly up to par with most other dine-in restaurants, and is moderately prices. Very clean bathrooms and food storage as well. In most buffets, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two. Extremely good staff, as in running-out-into-the-parking-lot-to-give-me-my-wallet kind of staff. Edit: The guides need to kindly remove the sticks from their asses. This place is the best. If you really hate their dialect that much, stay away until you try to master a foreign language, kay?

This is the only place I know that serves my favorite sweet walnut shrimp. If you go, I suggest you to try it. its like eating candy but its shrimp, the flavor is delicious.

I have never been very impressed with this place. The selection is not very wide for a variety of tastes and what food they have is inferior even for buffet-quality cuisine. The service has always been hit and miss as well: sometimes we get someone decent and other times, my pets could do better! The only reason I ever go to King Buffet is to go with the group. I never choose to go on my own. I much prefer other Chinese restaurants in town.
