3 weeks process of ceiling repair. Maintenance really did a great job.
I lived in at Kingsbury Plaza from May 2015 through October 2018. It’s conveniently next to Kroger, rent is extremely affordable for the area, and utilities are cheap, but I’ve had a lot of bad experiences living here. While parking is free, it is extremely limited. The ramp entrance to the parking lot is always damaged with debris and potholes, and it’s the only entrance to the parking lot. I have also been harrassed by a neighbor while leaving the parking lot. My car has been keyed twice while living there. The old washers and dryers in the building are constantly breaking down and do not wash/dry clothes properly. If both dryers are running at the same time, clothing will still be damp and you’ll have to pay additional money to dry it completely. Also, neighbors have frequently moved my clothes even though I did not leave them in the machine for very long. Most of the common areas are unkept and dirty. The walls are extremely thin. If after my review you are still considering living here, I recommend the top floor. You will hear every cough, sneeze, loud conversations, laughing, tv program, and music played. This includes all intimate noises. Neighbors can get very angry depending on their temper. I’ve had neighbors yelling in the middle of the night, verbally assaulting the kids yes, I called child services, and neighbors pounding on ceilings if you talk too loudly. Lastly, when moving out, the apartment company attempted to fine me additional months of rent even though there was a revised agreement to my lease. If it weren’t for all my written emails as evidence, I’d be at a loss of over $1400. I would not recommend any of the apartment complexes owned by Plaza Properties to my friends. You might read this and think “she was just a bad tenant who has a vendetta.” I’m actually a pretty boring young professional just trying to warn you. If you still want to live here, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.
A surprisingly quiet area for the nearby shopping and restaurants that Grandview offers. Definitely affordable for the area, and I haven't had any complaints about my time here thus far.
