I lived at Fisher Commons from 2018 through 2021 and it is the the best student housing experience I had during my 7 years of living off campus while studying at The Ohio State University! It is the most affordable high quality housing option that I have come across and it is worth every dollar. On top of that, I felt very safe and was never concerned about my safety while living here. The amenities are first class, with the 24 hr resident access only lounge area which has unlimited free printing! and tree rich outdoor space being my favorites. While you will get some road noise from the nearby 315 highway, it is barely noticeable while outside and not noticeable at all from inside the apartment units. Overall, it's quiet, clean, and the office staff and maintenance are friendly and always addressed my concerns and needs. . Another thing that's so great about living here is that everything is so close! It is about a 10 minute walk to campus or you can take the nearby bus. You don't need a car, but if you do want your car, Fisher Commons has its own private parking lot so you'll never need to worry about where to park your car. Also being right next to 315 highway makes going to downtown Columbus a quick 10 minute trip! Fisher Commons should be your first and only pick!
I moved into Fisher Commons in August, and everything has been great! The community is quiet and friendly, the staff is very helpful, and the location is perfect for graduate students. The location is convenient for a quick commute to campus and is right next to the highway. A campus gym is only a five-minute walk, and the Shoe and Schott are also within walking distance. The apartments have a ton of natural light, are well-maintained, and have plenty of storage space. The private parking lot is incredibly convenient as well.
I have been living at Fisher Commons for about 3 years and it is the absolute best environment for grad students! It's quiet, the community is clean and the office staff and maintenance are friendly and always address my concerns and needs. The apartments are incredibly spacious and there's also a 24 hr access resident lounge with coffee and printing! I cannot stress enough how wonderful it has been living here. Another thing that's been so great about living here is that everything is so close! You don't even have to worry about parking on campus if you don't want to because the bus stop is like 5 mins away and on nice days you could also walk to campus. It's the perfect location for anything outside of campus too because it's located right next to 315. Finding grad housing can be a nightmare, so just do yourself a favor and sign here : You won't regret it! I just signed my renewal because I love it here so much!
I have recently moved to Fisher Commons and highly recommend it for graduate students who are looking for spacious accommodation in quiet community close to campus and other amenities. The staff have been great so far, especially the community manager, Sandra who is very helpful. Maintenance requests have been dealt with in a good amount of time. My friends living elsewhere have told me about some issues they have experienced at their accommodation, so I am glad I went with Fisher Commons as those issues will not be experienced here!
We visited a friends apartment here last year and immediately knew that this is where we wanted to be the next year. Fast forward to this year, we've been here for almost 3 weeks and couldn't be more pleased. The grounds staff is super friendly and understanding. Its a nice quite community, something that's almost impossible to find in a college town. The units are all up to date with gorgeous full sized windows overlooking the wooded courtyard. Can't forget to mention the added bonus of an open floor plan between the kitchen and living room. It's absolutely perfect for us. So far we have been extremely pleased with our new place, to say the least!
I’ve lived at Fisher Commons since 2016. It is a very nice, quiet community. The grounds are well kept and maintenance is very helpful. The large windows let in a lot of natural light. It is within walking distance to campus and a lot of other amenities. I would recommend living here to friends.
Nice, quiet neighbors. Nicely located to have a quiet environment, while still being reasonably close to campus, food, grocery stores, and the highway. Great parking situation, with adequate OSU bus access. Apartments have lots of natural light and large kitchens with lots of cabinet space. Great staff and swift repairs as well!
I lived at Fisher Commons for three years while I was in law school and I only have great things to say about it. My apartment was spacious and comfortable. Maintenance requests were always done promptly. Ingrid, the property manager, was always helpful and accommodating. It's a great place if you have a lot of school work to do because it's quieter than apartment complexes that are closer to campus. There are also two bus stops within walking distance that take you almost anywhere on campus and to High Street. This was convenient for me because I didn't have a car. One of the campus gyms is within walking distance and a beautiful park is across the street. It was a great place to live and I recommend it all around!
I’ve lived at Fisher Commons for two years now and have fallen in love with the complex. It’s quiet and relaxing - which is hard to come by in Columbus. The private parking lot is a life saver! I love it so much, I just resigned my lease for a third year. The apartments are large, well kept and maintained. The closeness to campus is another major perk. Great access to 315, so traffic is hardly ever an issue. Ingrid, the property manager, is a God send. She’s been so helpful over the years and I wouldn’t know what to do without her! When considering an apartment, consider Fisher Commons!
I've really enjoyed my time living in Fisher Commons! I love having a washer and dryer right in my apartment and I love the big windows in my apartment that let lots of natural light in. Maintenance requests are always completed quickly after I submit them. The parking lot is convenient and there are always plenty of spaces available. The property staff are so nice and helpful too! I would definitely recommend Fisher Commons to any OSU grad student looking for a place to live.
