I enjoyed the food. Now the place is small because it is a takeout spot. However they do have spots inside for sitting down. The food was tasty. I have the tofu option with sticky rice and three sides. It was a nice size portion. They provide simple options and the stuff it good. This place is great for lunch if you are close by. Lastly, I like the brown bags for your takeout and the staff was really nice too.
I’ve been a Korilla groupie since their Great food truck race” days and it’s great to see how they have evolved. Always loved their food trucks but this store front tops them all. Good flavors, excellent fast service and a great addition to the area. I had a sticky rice bowl with the spicy pork and 3 sides which consisted of the cucumber kimchi, regular kimchi and the sweet corn all for a solid $10.
Convenient Korean BBQ no longer have to wait for their food truck to come around.
I tried Korilla today, years after sampling their food when they were only a food truck business. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in my meal. I got the rice bowl with spicy pork, kimchi, corn, and the "Killa" sauce. The pork was cold and the kimchi was old. Growing up eating Korean food, this fell well short.
Saw this place on TV before moving to NYC and was excited they were moving into my neighborhood. They have finally opened and the space is really nice, set up to handle a rush head to the left to start your order and you pay on the right subway style. I had a burrito bowl with the purple rice a blend of sushi, brown, and black rice a big portion of rice. Bulgogi was my protein, it's shaved ribeye as opposed to some places minced version. It was cooked well and had lots of flavor, it is sweet so what out for that if it's not your thing. Roasted corn, beans, and pico rounded off the top. Corn actually tasted roasted, beans were stewed and tender, and pico tasted fresh and wasn'tt overwhelming. Topped with signature korilla sauce which was almost like a spicy mayo if I had to compare it to something. Now the korilla sauce mixed with the sweetness from the bulgogi may of tipped the sweetness scale for some. Overall it was great and FAST. 11 bucks wasnt bad. Wish they had some appetizers or something to throw on the side, im just a glutton for sides though.
This spot is extremely close to my office and is a wonderful location for a quick and delicious lunch meal. I am a big fan of their tofu, kimchi and signature Korilla sauce.
Grilled cauliflower + kale salad + spicy stir-fried pork over steamed wild rice = flavor explosion yet healthy choice over the Five Guys next door.
You already know: seasonal Korean dish is legitimately my thing! The traditional rice is extremely delicate, so is the roasted chicken and tofu! The side is just delicate too, including the four Korean sauces!
i always love going here during the lunch break!! the staff is nice and the food is consistently delicious. i personally get the wild rice + bulgogi beef + corn + kimchi + cucumber kimchi + the korilla sauce! its a really good portion and on a day where im able to fit in time for breakfast, i always have leftovers!
If you decide on eating Korean food for the first time,, then Korilla BBQ is the place. Korilla BBQ is vegan friendly, has awesome food, and great customer service. I will definitely order from here again.
