La Mer closed it's doors on 20 December, 2014 so owner Marilyn could retire!
A unique shop for women's clothing, jewelry, accessories, purses, lighting, home furnishings & decor, bed & bath, and outdoor products. Started by Marilyn Owen and co-owner, Julie Durrett, in 2012, La Mer means "the sea" in French and was inspired by Marilyn's love for the salt water. She grew up in Seattle and spent childhood summers with her grandmother on an island in the Puget Sound. She has managed many boutique-style gift shops for health care systems and has always wanted her own store. Working in wholesale and retail all of her life, she has impeccable taste and the experience to provide an exceptional and personal customer shopping experience.
