La Tonalteca - Christiana, DE

The food has been great every time that I have dined here but unfortunately the service is not always as good as the food. If they could just up their customer service game, I believe that they'd see more returning customers, making it even more difficult (than it already is) to find a decent parking spot. But when weighing those scales it's without a question or doubt that it would be totally worth it! Come on La Tonalteca... There are far too many other options nearby, like same distance from where you'll find a parking spot, nearby. The food is way too good to send customers away because of the service.

Service was non-existent Walked in and sat at the empty bar. The bartender couldn't be bothered to do anything. She was chatting away with one of the servers and didn't acknowledge me in any way. I waited a few minutes and then went to a different restaurant.

We come here a couple times per month. The service is very inconsistent and can be slow and inattentive. The chimichangas and frozen margaritas are quite good.

I hate to do this, but I can't let this slide. This floors were very slippery. The food looked like it was left overs from someone else's plate. The chips were cold and stale. The food had way to much salt. It was terrible. Our drinks were very watered down. Our waitress was very friendly, but that was the only nice thing about the place. I've been to better mexican restaurants in DE. Get rid of the cooks and I think they should be fine.

This was my first time to come to this restaurant and im sure its gobba be the last. We ordered food and it came with sausage. We don't eat pork. We asked the person he said its only chicken. When the food arrived we told the person that the food has sausage and he said it comes chorizo. How is someone who is not Spanish supposed to know chorizo means sausage. That was his duty to tellthe customers. Im never going back to this horrible place abd on top of that he started arguing with us.
