Water is high, limiting beaches but a great place to enjoy. Fishing isn't bad either!

I've been camping on the Fallon side for over 20 years. We go every Memorial Day. It gets a little rowdy some nights, but it's better than the Silver Springs side, plus you get to camp on the beach. Pit toilets and no showers on this side, but it's camping. Fishing is always great and the water's always brown...unless it's green. Lahontan will always have a special place in my heart.

Been going here for 20 years. Bathrooms are always clean, great camping spots. The only thing that has ever been an issue is the glass on the beach, which it's been like this since I was a kid. I wish they could rake the beaches or enforce no glass in a more efficient manner. The rangers are kind and do not intrude. I would recommend this camping/day use park.

It is a resovoir, ok for what it is, yet camping is very expensive given that it is, well... we would rather get a hotel in Fallon. And we love camping! I'd stay here anytime if it were like any free (or $3, $5) BLM campground. Then it would be wonderful. I love that the name refers to ancient lake Lohontan, I can't take that away. The whole surroudning area and all of hwy 50 is a treasure.
