First Bite Guide Service provided a great fishing experience. Captain Dan was fantastic. He provided everything needed from fresh bait and gear to a great personality and years of knowledge. Total catch was over 30 hybrids in a 4 hour trip. A wonderful experience - I highly recommend Captain Dan and First Bite Guide Service.

I've fish with Captain Robert many times with group trips, Friends, Family from out of state and a few party boat trips in the past. When I bought my boat 13 years ago and fish Lake Allatoona for the first time, I knew nothing and became frustrated with the lake being a boy from the bayous of Louisiana. Did a trip to really just sit back and enjoy catching fish, learning and enjoying all the knowledge this man has. Can't tell you how hard it is to wake up so early and do what he does before his clients get on the boat. He makes sure he has the best bait to make sure his clients enjoy the day. He enjoys what he does and is a man with great Family values to ensure the kids have a memory that will last a lifetime. Bring your cameras and capture the memories. Happy fishing.

Just got off the lake from my second trip with First Bite Guide Service. Last year my son-in-law and I went out with Steven. We had the best day of fishing I have ever had. Steven was pleasant, knowledgeable, and just an all around nice guy. Because of the experience we had last year, this year we went out with my son-in -law, his dad, and our 6 year old granddaughter Shiloh. We had the good fortune to have Captain Robert as our guide today. Robert was awesome with Shiloh, as well as us. Although we did not catch as many fish, several of the ones we caught were good sized and were great fun. I even had a blast when I lost “the beast” as Robert referred to it. But more than that, was the look of pure joy on Shiloh’s face as she hauled in several fish. These are the times that lifetime memories are made of. Even when the bite was off, Robert kept us entertained with stories and fishing tips, never forgetting to include Shiloh. I have 7 more grandkids, that I look forward to introducing to First Bite. I would highly recommend First Bite. There is nothing like “just showing up”, for a wonderful experience. They provide the boat, the guide, the gear, the bait and a great time.

First Bite Fishing Guide service did a fantastic job for my family and I. My two kids, 8 and 4, has never been fishing before. Captain Rob gave them the experience of a lifetime on Lake Altoona. Memories that will leave a positive lasting impression on them for the rest of their lives. Captain Rob was responsive to my phone calls and emails and gave me all the info I needed to make a great trip. A true pro. Cannot say enough good things about this service. We will be back again!!

Being a great guide is all about experience which only comes by spending a lot of days on the water. Captain Rob stays on the water and on top of the fish as they transition day to day. Superior equipment and superior knowledge means you’re going to be on the fish and not just going for a boat ride! Not only the best guide around but a great guy to spend the day with! The best of the best!
