Restful place with friendly people. We arrived late afternoon Friday and there were plenty of sites available for self check in.

We love camping here. Plenty of spots and they all have decent shade. Great playgrounds, excellent beach area, nice trails throughout. Fishing from the shore can be tricky as there seemed to be a lot of green that would snag lures. Boat fishing is nice, I'm told. We'll try that out next year.

My husband and I went to a presentation about hiking The Grand Canyon rim to rim. It was so enjoyable and they are so active with these types of presentations. It is winter in Iowa but we drove around the park before we left. We will definitely be back!

Amazing bass fishing. Nice beach for the kids. They need to sift the sand though it has rocks or is clumpy.
