Still well kept. I remember visiting
way back in 1953. There were trash
bbls. then, and not many people,
so the park itself wasn't getting trashed as it was in the last of the
20th Century. Trash bbls. no longer
available. Less maint. I still enjoy an
ocassional visit. Still fairly peaceful
and tranquil atmosphere residing here. Pkg space for maybe 10 vehicles and 30 people at 3 picnicking areas. But, alas, not quite
like the '50s or '60s.

It's a nice place to stop on a journey, but I don't know if I'd call it a destination. There is a lovely restored prairie there. No restroom, just an outhouse. Also a swing set for the kids.

This area was previously unlabeled (prior to 29 July 2016) and was confused with "Antione LeClaire's Reservation." This site consists of a small park, a swingset, a pit toilet, some picnic benches, a grill and a prairie restoration area. It's a nice quiet spot to have a picnic not far from Iowa City. It's maintained by the Johnson County Conservation Board.
