Lake Oswego Hunt Club

Just started lessons for my 9 year old here. We had a couple lessons at another place which was just fine, but we really like this facility and the program. They were very detailed with showing her how to do everything to get the house ready and to finish and clean up at the end, which I really like. The teacher was very patient and worked well with my daughter who has anxiety disorder. I'm excited for more lessons!

We have been boarding there for a while now and really enjoy the place. The new manager who was given years of issues to fix really jumped right in and immediately started making the place better and is a real pleasure to work with. The staff there are very friendly and helpful and the other boarders have been a pleasure to ride and interact with as well. Even though the place may not be up to some people's standards, we really love the facility and how quiet and pleasant it is to be on the property. We will be enrolling our daughter in the riding academy as well next month.

I’m having the time of my life! I learned to ride at LOH 30+ years ago and recently started taking lessons again with the LOH Riding Academy. Taryn McAllister, the manager and trainer is on top of her game. She is training for safety, equipment knowledge, horsemanship etiquette, and of course quality time in the arena riding!!! I am learning so much in a supportive, nurturing environment and loving every minute of it!

I love this historic barn, I've been boarding here since 2015. Yes, it has some issues. LOH is 80 years old, and the decades haven't always been kind this this old place. We are always looking for ways to improve, repair and take care of the facility. The volunteer members work diligently as their time and means allow. Before giving horrible reviews consider that some of the issues have been decades in the making and NOT the result of anyone actually a member or staff currently. We are all working with what we have inherited and are fighting with our our time and resources to "save" this historic facility. We welcome any and all constructive help. Also, the pictures in one of the reviews are in a very wet winter time. Let's see some beautiful spring/summer pictures for balance.

I'm on there riding academy program and they have the sweetest horses. The people there are all friendly and fun! There stables are roomy and there tack room is neat. The arena is large and there outside arena an de dressage field are incredible in the summer!
