Lawrence City Police Department

On May 2ND my husband and I were involved in an accident at the corner of Carroll and 62ND St. Officers Stout and Randall responded to the scene. I want to commend them for their prompt response, professionalism, and kindness in what was a very stressful time for us.

This was my 1st time dealing with Lawrence PD. I spoke with the admin staff and a dispatcher in an attempt to file a break-in report. They both sounded like they hated their job, and the dispatcher was very rude in his tone, making me sound stupid for calling because "reports aren't done over the phone" and I needed to be at the location of the incident when reporting. I'm new to this, and not everyone knows the rules. Advice to the staff: show more compassion.

They are absolutely HORRIBLE I absolutely despise the Lawrence police department. They have no since of humanity or the law!! They are engrossed by their own self and their careers. They don't give two rats asses about any one but herself. I'm sick of it I live I the stupid lawerence county and I'm done I hate the cops here the all.suck ass

After an incident I did NOT commit they still took my car for two weeks after they said it would be done in a couple days and made me pay the impound fee and I had two fire arms witch hold deep sentimental value inside and have yet to give them back and it's been about 2 months horrible city with horrible police department not to mention the guy I dealt with was a major ****
