Hands down best hotel experience we have ever had… and we get around. The staff goes above and beyond for its guests, especially the furry ones. Dog friendly and awesome dog themed events, top notch bar, fabulous food next door guild house menu available, great atmosphere, close proximity to the park, conveniently located in the short north, what more could you ask for? Huge shout out to Brooke and the team at the front desk for making every stay better than the last!
Stayed at the Joseph during the weekend of an Ohio State football game. It was the perfect location to travel from the short north to campus. The valet and lobby service was incredible. The king room was large and very clean with a great view of the short north. With the Joseph you get exactly what you pay for. High price with high class service and amenities. The hotel bar is also a great place for drinks and coffee. Have been going to the bar for years but this was our first stay at the hotel.
The hotel itself is nice. The problem I had was with the Valet they have you use. There is no parking garage so you are pretty much forced to valet. After the first night we got our car back from the valet only to find out my wallet was stolen out of the glove compartment. The valet also curbed my rim when bringing it back to us. They gave us the manager’s number and said it would be taken care of. When we first called the manager acted like it wasn’t a problem and they would make it right. The next time we spoke to him, he let us know that he would pay for a new rim but would not do anything about the wallet. We asked if he could look at the security footage. Since it was either stolen by one of his employees or they left my car unlocked, since it was not broken into. We let the hotel know as well and they basically said it’s not their problem. Horrible for what is supposed to be a boutique hotel. We will never go back.
Great staff, but rooms are tiny. We loved the restaurant and hospitality but we had to switch hotels to get a bigger room as they did not have any suites available to extend out stay. Location is amazing, you can walk to every high end restaurant.
I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with the Le Meridien event team. I hosted a bridal shower for my daughter at the hotel in July and it was quite simply amazing. The level of care in the detailed preparation and the day of staff and their flawless execution were phenomenal. I decided to go with a six-course tasting menu and wine pairing which is a bit out of the box for a bridal shower and on complicated side for an event. The team didn’t miss a beat, they listened to my general vision for the event, and coordinated with the chef to come up with spectacular menu that just wowed everyone. The day of staff was remarkable. They delivered the courses and wine pairings to our group of 30 with such precision and attentiveness. Thank you, Le Meriden, for a most excellent experience. My daughter, all the guests, and myself as the host, could not have had a more lovely afternoon.
We went here for our 10th anniversary and had a great time! The hotel is in a perfect location and the rooms are beautiful and super clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back when we want another getaway to Columbus.Rooms: 5/5
Tis The Season NYE 2023.... Chasing my elite status. I needed two more stays to maintain my current tier. Therefore I decided to use a suite night reward and I was never so thrill to find a deserving room here in Central Ohio. I've often complained that Columbus lacks any swank hotels with that modern flare. However the suite provided by the Le Meridien far exceeded my expectations. Larger enough to comfortably fit a full size Christmas tree inside the room. It just really made the season feel extra special. Another treat was the large tub situated in front of the large pane window. The fully stocked bar also was another added benefit. Already made bookings for next year Christmas season. By far best suite inside Columbus.
So comfy. Awesome lobby and a little bar with live music. So relaxing. Crumby bed, but I don’t think anyone really likes a bed that isn’t their home bed.
Wow, what a fantastic hotel. It is an impeccably maintained property, in a great location, with awesome views from the guest rooms. The lobby and the rooms are wonderfully appointed with high end stylish furniture, and it just has a super chic feel to it. The entire staff was great. In particular I want to thank the manager, Christopher, who went out of his way to help and so friendly. They were warm and welcoming and extremely accommodating. It was awesome. Such a great hotel and I can’t recommend it enough. I spend a decent amount of time on the road each year, but this place really stands out. Looking forward to the next time I’m in Columbus.
My experience at The Joseph was so, so. It sits in a prime location close to all of the Short North Columbus Hot Spots and has a door connecting it to The Guild House, a fine dining Cameron Mitchell restaurant. They have valet, who were eager to assist us upon pulling up to the building. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The room was pretty basic, nothing really memorable about it other than the view of 670 if you’re into watching cars pass by on the freeway. We did hear the people next to us fairly often. Our neighbors weren’t purposefully loud, it’s just the walls were so thin, you couldn’t help but hear the people next to you. With a nightly fee of close to 400 dollars, you would think they could afford better insulation. In my opinion the price isn’t worth the only amenity of being close to the the short north. Book a cheaper hotel elsewhere and uber.
