I am a retired RN, worked in acute care and administration and for fed review. My experience with this particular clinic has been outstanding at all levels. Even the people at the front desk are congenial and helpful, which isn’t always the case. My primary care doc is young and bright and a treasure, as is her contact person. When I leave a message for the PC I feel confident that same message gets to my PC, who calls me back if that’s my need. I have reached a point where I need assisted living and, to my surprise, a case worker from the clinic called and has been helping me with facilities in the areas I would like to live in. She is an RN and, to my surprise, went to the same school and university, though years apart. The bottom line, this is a great fit for me.
The doctors and medical assistants are GREAT. Shout out to Allison, especially! but I have to knock off a star simply due to the office staff. It's the luck of the draw, really. I've had courteous interactions, and I've been brushed aside or ignored because someone was having a bad day. After one particular visit, I went to the counter per my doctor's instruction to schedule another appointment, but since it was 10 minutes prior to closing, the lady sighed, turned her back to me, and ignored me. I began to walk away and remarked that I would inform management and she quickly changed her tune, but I simply went home and scheduled myself. I've been hung up on before for calling to schedule an annual two months in advance. The person on the phone very rudely informed me that "you know you can't have another annual until November, RIGHT?" to which I replied, "yes, but I also prefer to be proactive as doctor schedules fill up quickly." *click* I see from other reviewers that this is not unusual. I get it, I too work at a medical office. Days can be long and you may not want to deal with a patient at 4:50, but this is the job, and scheduling is not the same as ordering a meal from a restaurant at the end of the night. I don't care how bad a day you are having or how unreasonable a request may seem, you do not in ANY circumstance, hang up on a patient. If that is your MO you have no business in the field. Perhaps retail is more your thing. That said, the *medical* staff is everything I could ask for and more. I don't know if the administration needs to hire more office staff to reduce workload, or simply let some of the old guard that refuses to change their ways go, but if you can deal with a few grumpy old folks seemingly impervious to reprimand, this is a great office once you leave the waiting room.
I called to get info about this clinic since it was listed as one of the places I could go. What I got in return was a really RUDE receptionist. I also work in healthcare and there is no reason whatsoever to be so abrupt and disrespectful to other people and potential patients. I was merely inquiring whether or not this is the correct clinic since it was listed on the insurance recommendations. I was in between sentences they hung up on me. The person answering phone calls sounds like she hates her job and working with people. That is not someone you want in this field.
I decided not to go there based on their horrid phone etiquette. I was hung up on, twice. They are always very curt and there is no warmth at all. I tried to establish care there. After keeping me on the phone for 20 minutes, they informed me the doctor I was calling about was not taking new patients. When I called to cancel an appointment, they asked when I'd like to reschedule for. I responded "oh, no rescheduling, just need to cancel it" They simply hung up on me at that point. No goodbye, no "Okay, got it". Just hung up. I'd steer clear of them if at all possible.
The staff is amazing. I have a great doctor dr. Jay Brown and I can see him almost at a moment's notice when I have something urgent. I don't get sent to a costly Urgent Care facility. I've gone here for years for my medical needs and will continue to do so
I love going here. The front staff are great as well as nurses and drs. I’m glad my dr is young and likes to help figure out persistent problems and seniors.
Great doctors who care and great you auth respect.
