So this has been quite a frustrating experience. It is very difficult to get a hold of any managers to speak to either through email or over the phone. Over the last week or so myself and spouse have called and emailed several times. I even went in person to try to speak to someone and no one was available. I understand businesses are busy but should be able to make time to speak to us. They had informed us they would call to make an appointment but they have yet to bother with that. I have an issue regarding the return of my deposit and I have yet to hear back. We are attempting to resolve this issue before it becomes a legal issue. I would’ve hoped that legacy would want to discuss it before having to get to that point. It’s very unprofessional. From other reviews I’ve seen I have to agree that when it comes to the deposit it’s extremely difficult to discuss it professionally with this company so be weary of working with them.

Legacy is the most military-friendly real estate company in El Paso. We have worked with Patrick and his friendly team for six years. They were especially responsive and understanding during my military tours overseas. Military renters and owners are treated with respect. I would recommend Legacy to any of my military friends heading to 1AD or Fort Bliss. You will feel like family right away. - Frank (career Army)

Our pool kept losing water every now and then. We went ahead and filled it up to get it serviced one day and the pool guy we hired said he could not work on it because the motor was about to give out. We let the realty company know and they went ahead fixed it up at the owners expense, since it was a mechanical failure. The constant filling of the pool before the motor was fixed came out to around $400 on our water bill. Our pool guy said he had to leave the pump running for 3 days so the chemicals in the pool started to work. Our electric bill came out to over $500 for that month. The pool kept leaking and we went ahead and reported it. We told them that this is costing us a lot of money to fill up consistently and referenced our last bill. In September we were given notice that the owner planned to put the house on the market. We were given the option of moving out of the house or stay there until the house was. We decided to move out and look at other homes. We did not want to live in the house while the house was being viewed. I am a traveling superintendent and I am usually out of town for work. When we decided to go ahead and move out we were sent paper work to do so. I booked my flight home, we bought packing supplies and I missed 4 days of work. As soon as I was ready to head home I got a phone call from the realty company telling me that the owner is enforcing us to stay in the house until our lease was up. Because they handled all this poorly, we were in the hole another grand. They can tell me it’s not their fault the owner changed his mind all they want, but they are the owners representative. They could have easily fixed this quickly. Since we were forced to stay, our new addendum lowered our rent $100 a month for 5 months and not sue the owner, but only I signed it not my soon to be wife. The pool was fixed. The owner ended up draining the pool and refilling it up and paying just that months water bill. Note that nothing else was paid to us that we had been in the hole for. The water kept leaking from the pool and needed to be filled up. We let the realty company know and they wanted us to keep filling the pool at our expense. They then told us if anything happened it would come out of our pocket. We still refused until we knew the owner would take care of our water bill. We had a signed agreement that the owner would pay our water bill during construction of the pool. Since it kept leaking it was till under construction. They wanted us to sign a paper that would release him of having to pay anything after he paid the water bill for draining the pool. We refused. We received move out procedures and did the most we could with them. We understood they needed to go back and clean some, they overcharged us for cleaning and said had we turned in our receipt for our cleaners, they would have called them back and would have not charged us a dime for cleaning. They charged us to reclean the pool, which was already given a final clean already. We got charged full price for this. We were also charged for carpet cleaning. We turned in our carpet cleaning receipt, since that is all the lease asks for. The move out procedures gives us a list of “preferred” carpet cleaners, which does not mean we had to use them. We have picture of the carpet upon move in and after move out, both with time stamps. With the carpet and pool charged to us they kept $163 more of our deposit. We only asked for $128 back on our refund, since we provided them with the receipt they asked us for on our signed lease. This company is honestly not worth any of the stress we have gone through. They have mentioned in other comments that they are only there to look out for the owner not the renter. Be careful of these types of companies, even if they are here for the owner, they still have a contract with you too. Keep proper documentation of everything you do with them. I have every single one from them.

I've been working with Legacy, renting my property for the last 3 years. They have always been caring, and honest and have taken great care of my property as we live out of town and can't check on the home ourselves. They always conducted themselves professionally and when I had to deal with a major catastrophe, they took care of all the legwork for me. When I was ready to sell my home, Patrick Tuttle was amazing at making sure the process was quick and painless. It sold faster than I would have ever expected it to and we are beyond pleased with the service he provided. I would highly recommend both Legacy and Patrick Tuttle with the rental or sale of your home!
