Legion of Honor Café

Food is ok. It is museum food so it’s overpriced. The place is beautiful though small. We came to the special exhibition of Casanova. The general collection is decent though small in the number of pieces and periods of art covered. Parking was not difficult because we arrived early in the morning and it is free. Our tickets also included the De Young museum and we will visit it after this one. You can take about four hours to visit this one and take some time to eat a snack.

The food is decent but expensive, which is expected when you have the monopoly at a museum. The service is best described as curt. You are merely an inconvenience. Most of the staff here look annoyed that you are even here, making them work. The best thing to do is apologize for your patronage. Avoid this place unless you are really hungry or thirsty.

I ordered the braised beef with cauliflower. The first time they brought the food out to us it was still cold. The second time it was just a head of cauliflower with what looked like beef shreds. Staff was in attentive and very unhelpful. The food is not worth the price.

There is not much variety on the menu, but the quality of food is good.it was really busy during my visit, such a big line to place order and be seated, but the food delivery was fast enough .It is kinda pricey place based on food style.
