From the outside looking in the place doesn't look that great and even the inside is a little on the outdated side. I ASSURE YOU THOUGH you FORSURE should stop here if you are in the area. The food and service are AMAZING! Very friendly environment, I got the breakfast sandwich and was full afterwards but was tempted to get another just because of how good it was! Kid-friendliness: Food for all ages
Straight to the point place with the loveliest owners. Their hash browns? Please, GET THEM! We love an extra crispy hash & they do it perfectly! The potatoes are so soft and creamy yet they have that delicious crust. Got an egg sammy with bacon and it got the job done, tasty and filling. As a tourist, I’m big on “eating like a local” and this place definitely did it for me. Quite a few regulars showed up while we sat down for an early morning breakfast. By far, the best breakfast I had in downtown NOLA.
A great little diner with tasty food and attentive friendly old fashioned service and very reasonable prices. A welcome relief from over priced over hyped over spiced over board "fine dining" creole French slop houses that infest NOLA. This unpretentious straight shooting diner is EWEP. Excellent WORTH EVERY PENNY. Tellem Catfish sentcha.
I've traveled to 43 different states and have eaten pancakes in as many places. The pancakes at Leni's Cafe in New Orleans are by far the fluffiest, most flavorful and delicious I've ever eaten. The bacon was perfectly crisp and amazing. My children had western omlettes and fried potatoes which were cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Our waitress was so lovely and charming and treated us like family. Thank you Leni's Cafe!
Loved it! A true diner, with good food. A little bit of "greasy spoon" vibe to it, but cleaner and better service.Food: 4/5
Welcoming service and tasty food.
Simple mom and pop breakfast place. Unfortunately not open on the weekends. Sometimes you just want a good breakfast with the extra flare and charges.
Classic, no nonsense diner that serves comfort food. Friendly staff.Food: 5/5

If you don't want to go to another fancy overpriced restaurant in downtown New Orleans, Leni's should be on your radar. This is a simple place where you can eat a home cooked breakfast or delicious poboys. It's been there for decades and the people there are very friendly. The owners are very friendly. I plan on coming back and trying everything on the menu.
