I probably feel the same way about the eye doctor as most people feel about the dentist. I hate when they have to dilate or look at my eyes. Everything about my experience at Lens Doctors in Portsmouth was pleasant and enjoyable. The staff are really helpful and professional and doctor was great. I was also impressed by their selection of frames.

The doctor was kind and knowledgable, and Andrea the manager has been very helpful and giving. My husband and I are complaining about the people who work at the front desk. They have been rude to us multiple times over the phone (Christine and Krista specifically). The people at the front desk also give incorrect information, such as saying they checked for the glasses when they actually didn't (this past time Nicole said, "No they aren't here." A pause, and then she said, "Well let me go check"), and stating that the manager is busy, when in fact the manager wasn't in that day (later confirmed to us).

Worst place that I have ever been .. I was there to get a normal sunglass and came without it.. They kept me waited for 45 mins but still no one came to talk!!! I won't suggest anyone to visit this place. I would rate 0 this place if I had option.

I came to Lens Doctors a few years ago soon after a major move to NH from New York City. From the moment I set foot in the door I was greeted with smiling faces, a professional environment and super educated customer friendly staff. My eye exam went well with Dr. Mocklis. He's just the best really friendly and easy to talk too. From there, I was graciously helped by the staff. I think it was Andrea to assist me pick out a frames...and for a super picky, stubborn customer Andrea stayed with me the whole way and actually made the process fun. In fact, I just couldn't choose between 3 different pairs of frames and asked if it would be OK if I could come back in a few days after I had time to think about it. Absolutely no pressure. I returned in 5 days picked my frames, paid and in no time I had my new glasses. Since then, Lens Doctors is just where I go and over the years purchased another 3 pairs of glasses/frames and one pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. Listen, no business is perfect, but at every turn the staff at Lens Doctors immediately addressed any issues along the way and it was clear that I came first. I would highly recommend Lens Doctors to anyone seeking a solid, well-managed, excellent & super educated Doctors with a well-trained staff that have the wherewithal and the ability to address any problems that may arise.

I only gave three stars to Lens Doctors because of the long wait that I have experienced, as well as the lack of communication from the staff. I was asked to come in 15 minutes early to fill out 5 minutes of paperwork, and then waited an additional 10 minutes after my appointment time. I was told that my glasses would take 1-2 weeks to arrive. After 2 weeks I initiated a call to them, could not get an immediate answer, they called back but left a faulty voice message that could not be accessed. So the next day I called them back, and was told it would be 3 more days because the frames were on back order. I called on the designated day, and was told they would be 5 more days. I have been wearing glasses for 30 years and have never waited 3 1/2 weeks for my new ones. And of course, my credit card was billed immediately. So, $500+ dollars and 3 1/2 weeks later, I still do not have my glasses. I will go elsewhere next time!
