Excellent spot to propose or have photos with a photographer. This was my second location since the Angel Oak was packed with patrons. I do recommend going in slightly warmer weather because you catch the full brunt of ocean air. The sunset at this location is superb as well.

beautiful views, picturesque, little walking involved but so well worth it. This is my serenity place. Its amazing. Sometimes you cam catch dolphins playing close to the shore line, great for ruining along the beach, just relaxing, smelling that great salty air and getting your refill of relaxation.

This natural area is entered by a paved access road that is gated off to autos but easily accommodates pedestrians, bicycles, strollers, etc. Wheelchairs would be fine too, but eventually the road becomes a narrow, sandy path that leads to the beach and there is a step down to the beach that must be negotiated. The access road is lined by scrubby plant life and the beach offers a great view of Morris Island Lighthouse, a small tree "boneyard," and possible dolphin sightings. The tide height will determine how far you can walk toward the backside of the island.

It was great. We walk to where Ashley river goes into the ocean. Dolphins were there feeding on the fish coming out of the river. It was a beautiful place with Morris light house there. It was a good walk, about a mile from where we parked.

I've lived in charleston for over 3 years now and I just learned about this place. It is VERY secluded and quiet. Beautiful views and beaches. In order to get here just keep heading north on Folly until you reach the gate. Then park and keep walking until you run out of sand, it will be beautiful!! Best part about this place is that it stays quiet compared to the other parts of folly, which can get crowded fast! This is a must see place!
