We went for the first time this Sunday..Really beautiful theater with plenty of seating. We attended a concert, the sound and lighting was pretty good. They also have a bar cashless and a popcorn booth. Our only issue was, Lincoln Theater does not offer parking so that was a bit of a challenge, make sure to plan to arrive early to find good parking in the nearby garages/lots. The Spot agent website showed parking is available at the Reeves center garage, but that was full. Fortunately we found parking on V street in one of those make shift lots, it was a little expensive at $30, but it was just a block away from the theater so we didn't mind.
The Aurora Aksnes concert was beautiful, however shorter than her other shows this US tour. An intimate setting with seating and first come General Admission. Unparalleled view of the stage, and ability to hold your seat once you have it if you have to use the restroom or grab drinks. No parking of course so plan on stressing trying to find a 24hr parking garage near by for about $30 for 4-24 hrs.
Great venue. Great acoustics. Nice to have drinks available. Parking is a challenge so figure that out beforehand. A lot of the street parking is permit only. PS - Colin Hay is absolutely fantastic. Great performance and great story teller.
We came here to see the Foil Arms and Hog show. It's a really nice theater and the refreshments are simple popcorn and Lincoln logs but they're delicious. While the water is free, the snacks are a bit overpriced, but you find that at any theater.
I went to a holiday Drag Show that was amazing! Had a great time! The theater was sold out! It was super hot in there. There's no parking lot on site. You probably wouldn't find a parking spot because so many restaurants and clubs are on this street. It's a VERY busy neighborhood. It's DC and that's to be expected. The closest parking garage is the U Street Garage, 2.5 blocks away and costs 20 bucks. There must be a trend of dark, dank, smelly parking garages in the Baltimore/DC area, lol. There was broken glass, broken concrete and oddly positioned parking spots. It smelled like a port-a-john and the attendants were really cranky senior citizens. To get to the theater, you will have to step around the people that are asleep on the ground. Spotted a few pimps and working girls too. A plus is that We, The Pizza is mid point of the theater and parking lot. It's great pizza! If you are going to this theater, I recommend parking at the park and ride lot, then grab an Uber or Lyft to avoid the horrific traffic. People will u-turn with no notice, right in front of you at a stop light. Them there are the people that double park to grab food! Unless I can buy a ticket and sit in the smaller side balconies, I won't go back to this venue. I couldn't see the stage unless I held my phone above the heads of the people in front of me!! SMH, my arms were in muscle fatigue by the end of the show.
A beautiful, old theater in the heart of Washington D.C. Classic architecture with a great sound system. The seats are old, yet comfortable. Street parking may be difficult but we found a $10 parking garage less than a ten-minute walk to/from the theater. Prior to the show we had a great dinner at Ted’s Bulletin, also within walking distance.
Drag queen Christmas show! It was amazing, the show, the theater, and our seats. We sat in the balcony area, and it's on a incline. So no one is directly right in front of you, you always have a clear view of the stage. Can't wait to go back!
This is one of those older single stage theatres. Came here to see scribble showdown 2. No dedicated parking lot. I got a hotel and walked. The entrance staff was super quick, one to verify vax and one to scan ticket. The lobby is small. There's merchandise and a mini drink bar. You walk in and find your seat. The seat became very painful after 2 hours. The show was amazing. If they do a third here, I'll come back.
Very nice theater and enjoyable experience - we watched Rupi Kaur here. Acoustics and sound are nice here. We were in the last row and felt like I was truly there for the entire experience. That being said, definitely hard to see there due to the angle of seating, unlike some theaters. Would definitely go back, but consider getting closer seats. Also like that they serve popcorn and drinks here at least specific to this event.
Saw Mat Kearney on 4/24/22, a general admission show. Got in line at 6:15 for doors at 6:30 and was able to get in the 4th row, dead center. Amazing experience.
