Loretta's Authentic Pralines - French Market

By far one of the best beignets I have ever tasted. It was delicious! Especially filled with her chocolate filling! The crust is so flaky. And her Sunrise Muffin, her healthy muffin was the best! I went by everyday while in NOLA. Wish I could have tried everything! And no line!!!!!

They have the best pralines in town. The praline beignets are superb. They only reason I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because of lack of preparation. I believe if you open at 9 every menu item should be ready. The grease should not be cut on at 9 if it takes 15 mins to get hot

I've been a fan of the pralines for YEARS and then when the praline stuffed beignets came along I was HOOKED! Since moving from NOLA, I make it a point to find the booth at Jazz fest. I was so excited to find it today but saddened that she used a different dough this year. It totally changed that beignet texture I was craving. Pralines still amazing. Hope she'll bring back the other dough next year🤞

Run here.. best beignets and pralines hands down!! I know others would have you try others but search no more. Even the locals love Loretta's (know thats sayin something baby). I love the French Market location just full of hidden gems.

We stopped at the market to grab some last minute souvenirs and wished we had more time in NOLA. A few older customers were standing in front of Loretta's and told me they were THE best pralines and they drove 5 hours to get them. So I brought home a box of 6. Original, coconut and rum. So creamy and delicious. Our favourite was the original. They have pralines in the display to enjoy right away but when I said I was bringing them home for family, the lovely lady behind the counter offered to package pralines that were sealed in cello and boxed for travel. Perfect. I also had a coffee and a shoe sole. Puff pastry with cinnamon and sugar rolled throughout. There was a beautiful selection of pies and cookies. I wished I could bring more home. A must try when you are wandering the French Market in NOLA!!
