Absolutely amazing!! Being from New York, I know great Italian food when I taste it and Luigi’s is the best I’ve had in the state of Colorado. The menu is your traditional Italian pastas and pizzas and the manicotti is out of this world. I will definitely be coming to eat here again, hopefully for a long time to come. Also, the staff was superb and extremely amazing.

The food was very good and our waitress was friendly. The place is small and the tables are close, but I think that lends to the restaurants cozy atmosphere. The Ferrari Cabernet Sauvignon was an awesome dry red. It does lose a star for the antiquated decor. While nostalgic for some, dark wood paneled walls, checkered vinyl table clothes, and dusty wine bottles interlaced with Christmas lights on the walls, is bad 70s and 80s nostalgia.

I absolutely love Luigi's. One of my favorite things about it is that it looks the same as it did when I used to visit with my grandparents when I was a child, but the food quality remains top notch. There are empty bottles of chianti decorating the rooms, signed by the parties who drank them. Italian song classics play softly while you eat - the last time we dined here I am certain I heard 'The Godfather' theme playing.
If you're looking for authentic, delicious, well-priced, and well-portioned Italian - visit Luigi's!

Tasty red sauce Italian in a rustic atmosphere, the kind of atmosphere you might find in a Colorado mountain town. Service is friendly, professional, attentive but not obtrusive. Warm bread, nice wine, and food that's over the top. Be careful when they bring your dishes to the table or you'll go home with burnt fingers. Minestrone was hearty, peppery, full of fresh flavor. I pocketed the wrapper from the bread sticks so I can order some from Amazon.
Partner loved his chicken parm. My chicken marsala was perfect. The chicken was lightly breaded, then sauced about half way up the thick cutlet, which produced a delicate crust and left the cutlet itself juicy and tender. I've love to be a fly on the wall in that kitchen. Both were served with spaghetti and Luigi's tasty meat sauce. Partner would have preferred homemade pasta. I'm more than OK with the stuff in the package.
Luigi's opens at 5:00. We arrived at 4:55. Three couples beat us to the door, and by the time we left at 6:30 the place was packed. There's a convenient parking lot, but there were guests waiting for us to pull out of our space when we left.

Amazing Italian food. This is so much more than a pizza place, although the pizza is truly fantastic! Friendly and courteous service all even. Reasonably priced and very tasty food make this a must visit. It's not in a great neighborhood and many people probably miss out because of that but it's only a few blocks from the interstate and a fee blocks from the center of downtown. Everything is good! You can't go wrong.
