M·A·C Newbury Street

I recently shopped at the Mac Cosmetic store on Newbury street. I didn't have an idea of what I was looking for, I don't know much about the product they have.. I mostly stick to Chanel products. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and helped. The makeup stylist Kayla assisted me and she was so delightful and beautiful! She is really knowledgable about all of the products in the store and how they can help a certain individual. I felt like she read me. She knew what I was looking for even though I had no idea what I was looking for.. If that makes any sense! Overall, I had such an amazing shopping experience. And I am now, officially a MAC girl!

Decided to visit MAC because had a long time desire to try something except their lipsticks. Went to this store for a make up class. The blond lady sorry, horrible memory for the names was amazing! The way she explained everything to me, providing a nice class. The choice of colors for eyeshadows and bronzers, as well as base was incredible! I was happy with the products I've tried and with the class provided! For sure will be back there for new products!

I’ve tried endless amounts of time to try and do winged eyeliner. I finally came to a conclusion that my eye shape would just not allow it. I’ve tried different eyeliners and watched every tutorial out there. I had my make up done by a guy at this Mac store and with one tip I finally am able to do winged eyeliner. - I can’t be more satisfied.

MAC is the best, but this store is staffed with lazy people who don't seem interested in helping you do anything other than purchase product. When your lipstick sells for $30+, the least you can do is feign interest in my experience. Surely, they could have upsold me, but after five minutes in the store, I wanted to be somewhere else. I get more help and interest purchasing $5 nail polish at Walgreens.

MAC products are great but the customer service was poor. My wife left her cosmetic bag at the store and they promised to keep it safe till we visited the next time. But they had given it away to the cleaner by the time we went back. They refused to ship it to me though I volunteered to pay for the shipping

Once upon a time, my friend and I wanted to see what foundation matches our skin. The make up artists that attended to us was so awesome. She pretty much told us everything that worked on skin from the foundation, to the mascara, to the lipstick to the blush, to our skin tone. It was amazing. I wish I can do it all over again.

Probably my favorite MAC store... Staff is helpful but not overly in your face which is amazing! I've had my makeup done here twice and have been thrilled with the outcome!

I came in for a complimentary application that was being advertised on a chalkboard outside! 1st the young lady starts questioning me if it was Kelihs board or Macs board and in my mind I’m like if u don’t know shouldn’t you go outside and see what your own companies board says???? Then she asks what I’m looking for so I repeat myself! A compliment make up application after assuring her that the board said MAC on it! I let her know I wanted a dark eye look even mentioned a very specific genre for example Steampunk, Victorian, EMO.... she looked at me like I had 5 heads! SHE WAS THE RUDDEST LITTLE MISS PRISS! Rolling her eyes every time I had a question about her application as she said she could only do one eye and I’d have to copy how she did it for my other eye so obviously I had to observe or I’d look crazy coming out with one done eye!!! IV NEVER HEARD THE SHEAR STUPIDITY AND INSANITY THAT WAS COMING OUT OF HER MOUTH!!!! She musta taken me for a dummy of thought I’d never contact corporate!!! What a disgusting personality and zero customer service skills!!! MAC U GOTTA DO BETTER THEN LETTING THESE YOUNG THUGS work at your Newbury st store! 5 other customers came up to me and apologized at how I was being treated, 2 other sales associates where more attentive then this one sad sack of a sales lady! What a damn shame too because I did my own eye and corrected her mistakes on the one she did and looked AMAZING and was going to purchase all 5 items that would totally over $100 in sales but I’d never give her that satisfaction nor commition! WHAT A HORRIBLE MISERABLE SAD SACK YOU HIRED FOR YOUR HIGH END STORE! She had the nerve to tell me my own eye was open when it was closed!!!!!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD??? Are you serious??? I hope corporate takes this seriously because you shouldn’t pay someone who disrespects your clients!!! Period!

My daughter got her prom make-up done. .AMAZING. .ppl were awesome and they do great make-up

The few times I have gone here you could tell that the staff was in a rush but the products are great and they do know what they are doing.
